I'll keep those in mind for next time as they are about 3 times the cost of what I've just received. I did see cheaper ones than I ordered on Amazon but they didn't look quite right (just aluminum strips which might disintegrate quickly). The ones received are substantial - the much too young delivery person (they all look about 12 to me these days...) held the box straight out towards me and I went to take it with one hand and nearly dropped it it's so heavy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hello all
Its been a busy few days. Hubby started work last week and I started work today. I’ve not worked in over 3 years and this is a more physically demanding job :-O
I did 8-12 but needed to go to Lidl. It’s quite a walk so used to bus. There’s things I like from there plus it’s cheaper than Aldi (here in Spain). By the time I’d done that and got the bus home it was almost 2pm and I have to get my daughter from nursery leaving home 3.15pm so busy busy day
anyways for dinner I found a recipe online using some leftover cooked chicken. I fancied doing something different with it today. I found a slimming eats creaming ranch chicken pasta. I actually had most of the ingredients in anyways and the cheese and soft cheese I bought for it I’ll use the rest in a risotto later on this week. I really enjoyed it. Even better, no my husband is working days he will be eating lunch. I asked him if I can do him a packed lunch now and he said yes! We been married nearly 7 years and apart from the odd sandwich or leftovers usually I don’t do him lunches. Lunch tomorrow he’s actually got the leftovers, that’s how the conversation came about.Sorry I’ve talked too much now!:money::rotfl::T6 -
@sarahj1986 welcome aboard! No such thing as talking too much on here.
Dinner sounds lovely and well done with the leftovers.
Hope the new jobs go well for both of you.
Dinner tonight turned out to be scampi after some freezer foraging, with courgette and roast baby spuds. Had the scampi with some tzatziki (to save opening the tartre sauce).Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

OH had a YS BBQ chicken pizza, I made a "pizza" using a panini (from olio) topped with bbq sauce, mozzarella that needed using and Quorn bacon.
Afterwards we had strawberry cream tarts (YS).6 -
I had a craving for eggs on sourdough toast when I got up this morning. So I had that for dinner with mushrooms and tinned tomatoes.
Others had sausages and bacon with theirs.6 -
Busy busy today as always but managed
to sneak in a trip to Costco as I was in the area - mainly for fuel as it’s almost 12p a litre cheaper than my local petrol station 😧 - did a stock up of my usual bits from there plus a huuuuge birthday cake for my eldest (13 this week! 13!).
Bought a rotisserie chicken for an easy dinner, we had it with baked potatoes and salad. Plenty of chicken left for a pie and possibly sandwiches tomorrow, along with a plastic tub of bits for the cat, not bad for £3.99.Books read 2023 - 49/753 -

the job is going well, second day today. It’s only 20 hours a week but it’s a start and it fits in with our life.:money::rotfl::T4
