Leg of lamb today with all the usual suspects
    Shall I bring some wine???

Pork chops with squash is happening today I think, yesterday we ended up with pizza which quite frankly was disappointing - an Italian brand from Asda (Giovanni??) and much too doughy.  I prefer a thin crust and so does my ever thickening waist.

But honestly. Cooking for worms.
I glanced and saw the "cooking for worms" bit before I read I read the rest and wondered why you were referring to friends and family as worms!

Mash, vegan fish fingers and beans tonight.

Made the mash with the hand blender but not sure i really like it like that, tends to turn it a bit gluey rather than mashy. Still, not 100% better yet so it was easier than bashing with the masher.

I use my food mixer to mash my potatoes @kerri_gt always gets rid of lumps. Hope you will soon be back to your best. It's not nice being poorly.

Today I had a break from the traditional get ready for the week ahead Sunday, probably because I'm off work tomorrow. So I made a really easy dinner. Chicken thighs wrapped in bacon, green beans and a tray of roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, red onions, parsnips and carrots with a honey and tahini dressing.  I had halloumi with mine.

Got some lemon and pepper pork chops (from As*a) defrosting. I thought they sounded nice and different for a change. Tonight with mash, and broccoli cheese sauce. Tomorrow with noodles.  There are 5 chops, seem big so any left will be refrozen, from cooked.

I spent some time eyeing up the electric potato masher from Lakeland, but decided against it because I thought it would make the potatoes gluey in the same way that a stick blender does.  Hope you feel fully restored to good health soon, kerrie!

We are finishing up the sausagemeat puff pastry plait which I made last night - it was really nice, certainly something I will do again in the future. More of the traybaked meringue covered in cream, pears and blueberries for pud.
