Vegan wellington, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and broccoli. OH also had roast carrots.

All YS apart from the broccoli.

Then apple strudel with cream for me and custard for OH.

I'm still trying to create some space in the freezer, so will defrost a tub of bolognese meat sauce. I'll make a cheesy sauce and turn it all into a pasta bake (which might last two days, if I am lucky).

Finishing the pear and blueberry meringue for pud tonight. It's been lovely, but I think I would make a much smaller one next time as we're both a bit fed up with it now!

Jalfrezi chicken curry/rice/naan bread for dinner - cost about £1.50 for our 2 meals. I don't bake when cooking curry so made a

cake last night. Marble cake cost about 80p to make and baked weight was 1lb 4 ounces - it will last us a while.

Kids are off to a wedding for the weekend, so we have sole ownership of the 3 yo till Sunday, supposed to be a beautiful weekend so the BBQ will be out, defrosting some Mackerel a friend caught, will have with salad and HM bread for them.  Will have some HM burgers on standby just in case littun’ doesn’t go for his Mackerel fillet (heavily bone checked) he loves mussels so think we’ll be ok 🤞

The makings of bacon macaroni cheese came with the shopping last night so I think I will go for that tonight. Hopefully make enough for tomorrow as well even if only enough for lunch.

Chicken kiev for us tonight (had planned bacon macaroni cheese - snap @arielgirl - but remembered that the kids had mac and cheese croquettes & salad for a quick dinner last night) with fries, broccoli and green beans.

Very tempted to get burgers etc out of the freezer to bbq this weekend, but surely that would the kiss of death for the good weather? 🤔😉
