happydenial said:Chicken kiev for us tonight (had planned bacon macaroni cheese - snap @arielgirl - but remembered that the kids had mac and cheese croquettes & salad for a quick dinner last night) with fries, broccoli and green beans.Very tempted to get burgers etc out of the freezer to bbq this weekend, but surely that would the kiss of death for the good weather? 🤔😉Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Well if it's the kiss of death so be it! I've got a couple of rib eyes to sling onto the bbq! OH did suggest we go for dinner out as we very rarely do that and I'm still on holiday (having gone no where other than Ikea in my 2 weeks off). But we decided we were lazy slobs.
So it's MnS that's provided the salmon and cream cheese spread & a roulade of goat's cheese to have on oatcakes as we sip our champers (been in the fridge for, like, forever!) and then the ribeyes done on the Weber with the jacket taters with I think a skewer each of tiddly tomatoes (they'll be bbq'd as well). Then sticky toffee puddings with thick cream. I have some garlicky steak spice which I might use but there's also a kobe sauce which might be nice. I might let him indoors decide.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Refried bean and cheddar quesadillas with HM wedges and sweetcorn.
Afterwards I'm going to mix together HM meringues, cherries (YS) and cream as they all need using up. Sort of like an Eton mess!5 -
@happydenial great minds!the macaroni was lovely I had found a new sauce H*mepr*de for it. Lots left for another meal.4

Made this Korean beef https://www.cookingclassy.com/korean-beef-bowls/
Though mis read the lime qty and put in tbsp not tsp 🤣 i didn't have as much beef either. Anyway, it was ok, more LO for another night and it will prob be better / more flavourful after an overnight marinade like these things usually are.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

My mouth is watering just reading this thread. I forgot to eat dinner tonight, but if I did, I would've probably just microwaved a tin of soup. C&B make a nice winter vegetable one.

A couple of Saturdays ago I made some Chinese dishes for dinner, so I will be defrosting the last of those to make a mini banquet of sweet and sour pork, chicken in black bean sauce, garlic prawns, egg fried rice and vegetable spring rolls.4

Didn’t have the mackerel last night, ended up picking on cheese and pickles.
So BBQ today instead 🤩Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
