I did chilli bratwurst in a seeded roll with LO fried off roast potatoes + mushrooms/tomato for dinner last night and baked a jam sponge pudding and a vanilla traybake which I covered with jam and coconut. The sponge pudding will last the two of us for five days with custard - I don't like milk as is so need to get it into me that way. The cakes apart from two went at Church today.

Veggie sausage casserole with mash.2

I had a lot of roasted veg left from Thursday night, so made a tart with mozzarella for daughter and I. Husband had the rest of the pastry on top of a steak and kidney mix from the freezer.
Served with green beans, peas and carrots and baby potatoes.
Quick and easy for a Sunday.4 -
Sausages and mash tonight, with a fishcake for the non-sausage eater and Yorkshire puddings for the non-mash eater 🙄😬 Served with kale, broccoli and plenty of gravy.Made a bread and butter pudding for pudding whilst the oven was on, half left for tomorrow.Books read 2023 - 49/754

I had spiced mung beans with minted yoghurt and roasted savoy cabbage to be followed by feta and a cracker or two and a coffee.
P.S. In case anyone finds this useful I spotted this recipe which includes a vegan bechamel earlier today Ixta Belfrage’s vegan recipe for curried caramelised onion galette | Food | The Guardian The method for the bechamel is simply to put all the ingredients in a blender and whizz until smooth which seems delightfully straightforward to me so I thought I'd draw attention to it here.4 -
@goldfinches That galette looks delicious!
Brie and kerri didn't show for dinner last night- hardly surprising as my house is very difficult to find, even the postman has trouble. So there's plenty of leftover roast beef to use up, and some of that is being shredded into enchiladas for tonight. I will also make a beef macaroni dish for later in the week.
I also have lots of veg left from the Larder last weekend, so am making a vegetarian 'wellington' thing with diced sweet potato, onions, garlic, red pepper, mushrooms, spinach, chopped nuts, cranberries, breadcrumbs etc wrapped in puff pastry ready to chuck in the oven after being out-out at work all day tomorrow.5 -
I did hm tuna & egg pasties + roasted potato chunks + roasted veggies - garlic/onions/tomatoes/green pepper for dinner last night.
A night off from cooking dinner for me as we eat at the SA before an Alpha course.
