Lincolnshire sausages, roast potatoes and gravy and almost the last of the parsnips (roasted) and leeks (steamed) from the veg plot.

OH missed the bit in our conversation about me needing to lose weight and so no carbs or ready meals wanted. So of course last night was pizza. And tonight is a aubergine parmesan ready meal. And breakfast today is bacon rolls....

It's tricky when you are not both on board with dietary changes - maybe try and tweak future meals so you can avoid the carbs (ie he has a bacon roll, you have bacon and egg .... that sort of thing).
Mister CJ has a dental appointment late this afternoon and may have a sore mouth afterwards, so I have just made a nice soft bolognese pasta bake in a cheesy sauce for dinner tonight. We'll probably be living off it for the rest of the week as it is accidentally humungous and I have no space left in the freezer for the leftovers!2 -
Having a use up, so basically an all day breakfast 😋Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Fishcakes with mashed potatoes, steamed leeks (all used up at last) and parsley sauce. Bit of extra butter and full cream milk in the mash as it's really cold out

Mixed some LO plain pasta with a tin of chicken in white sauce, fried some sliced onions (rtc punnet yesterday 20p in Lidl) and added some herbs. Enough left for tomorrow too.
Trying to be frugal this month.
Brekkie was a rather sad bacon roll from a disappointing too good to go bag yesterday. Roll itself was squashed and looked like one of those split Warburton ones with some overcooked bacon in. Not something i would have paid for at a cafe (rest of the bag was poor too, and no way of telling what was veggie or not which was frustrating).
Going to repurpose the filling of what turned out to be a spciy tuna wrap / pastry thing (which was soggy) for OH sandwich filling tomorrow. I had half today warmed up and it was ok, but think he'd prefer it in non soggy / squashed bread.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I made a curried cauliflower which was suprisingly delicious with rice and I even cooked the cauliflower leaves.
all i did was spread Thai red curry paste on it with balsamic vinegar and a little sweetner and baked in the oven with some sesame seeds, oh said it was the best thing ever it was 😋4 -
Tonight is a low fat salmon and broccoli quiche with a sweet potato crust new potatoes and salad2

I’m making a cheese, leek and potato puff pastry pie for tonight, served with green beans (home grown, via the freezer).
I’ve made a trifle for pud (Mister CJ’s favourite thing in the entire world) using as the base a sponge cake made and frozen a while back when we had a glut of eggs from the hens. This means I have a loaf tin sized bit of space in one freezer drawer now, hurrah!2
