I was in a bit of trouble with pulling up my oregano yesterday - there's a knack to twisting off the dead stalks, as opposed to pulling up the whole thing  :o  anyway, I got everything into the green bin, as well as a bit more.  I have to resign myself to always being on the lookout for brambles, they travel from next door - I've left a lot of gaps under the new fence so that hedgehog travel is easier, and the brambles use the gaps too  :D It's got to be regular.

I pruned some bush roses by a third (to protect against wind damage) - only trouble was, they were in the churchyard and not my garden. I need to do the same for myself this week

That's a nice thing to do, SL :)  as for me - pruning the dead stems was useful in an unexpected way.  I've realised that it's definitely the oregano that's rooted itself elsewhere in the garden - at the bottom, a foot or two downhill, so it's slightly wetter, and its also deeper soil there, both of which I thought were negatives for a Mediterranean herb.  But it's happy enough that it spread naturally by wind or whatever, so I'll take the win :D  still got to prune that bit, though  :D

Today is more pruning, and also, phoning the dreaded Sainsbo.  That may lead me to tidy up the office upstairs slightly, as the paperwork is all over the place.  Won't beat myself up if I don't.

    Pruning successful.

Typing one handed.  One 45 min call to Sains, I was cut off while on hold.

Now 15 mins into 2nd call.  They sent me the application form I had to collect from the Post Office, and a replacement card (and that IS the new number shown on thewebsite, why did someone lie about that?).

But no one will speak to me, in spite of having a certified copy of my passport (cost to me £15) because the bank statement didnt show my address.  Been going on 4 weeks now.

That's ridiculous Karma and extremely poor service.

Well done on the pruning though!

    Thanks folks!

Beanie, of course, I'll never put any new transactions to them again.  But they have a debit against my name to the tune of £6745.  I don't want to lose that sort of money!  So I have to sort this out, unfortunately.

No one will show any common sense that I'm the one being defrauded, so I have to suck it up.  Their rules make it difficult even to suck it up!  Everything I have is paperless, and they suddenly don't accept documents downloaded from the internet.  Then they mention they'll accept Council Tax originals, even though they're more than 3 months old, because they're only issued once a year.  Okay, that'll do.  I managed to get it in the post to them, first class, with a tiny handwritten note.  Really, I'd cheerfully have done some severe damage, but it got into the postbox before last collection.

I swear, I'll never have anything to do with them again.  I just hope I don't lose that £6,745 after all this.
