You haven't wasted time, but you just need to copy and paste some words into a box. The words are written for you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did look for the template that would apply to me but couldn't find it. There were loads of them. It's hard... I have sight problems but I'll try again tomorrow.
Thank you again.
If you have a link to the template I need that would be great but if not no problem.
Kind Regards0 -
There are not 'loads of them'.
There are just two templates in post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ thread.
You need the blue one. Just send it as it is - no changes - no additions.0 -
The template that is closest is referring to large lettering and prominence which is nothing to do with our situation. I need to go now but will go through all you have put in that section again to see if I can find a template that applies to our situation. Then I'll appeal by copying it.0

My signature tells you where to click, assuming you've missed the forum's standard advice & appeal (please don't say it doesn't fit your circs...).
Already said the above, please don't do this. The template that is closest is referring to large lettering and prominence which is nothing to do with our situation.
Yes it is...please please stop looking for 'your circumstances'!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did not see your post sorry. OK so the blue one is the one about their signs failing the large lettering and prominence?? I do not see any relevance at all. The signs are clear and large in the car park. The driver saw all the signs and bought a ticket. Sorry I am lost.0

ok ... thankyou
Kind Regards0 -
The keeper just submits that. It's to get a POPLA code, without blabbing who was driving.
Are you saying the driver saw the £100 penalty in large letters and accepted it? Agreed to that?!! Nope...not clear then.
What actually happened was someone typed in the VRN wrongly. Did you realise?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You are making the mistake of thinking that whatever you write in your appeal will make any difference.I did not see your post sorry. OK so the blue one is the one about their signs failing the large lettering and prominence?? I do not see any relevance at all. The signs are clear and large in the car park. The driver saw all the signs and bought a ticket. Sorry I am lost.
It has been suggested that you send the blue appeal unchanged.
The PPC's reaction will be either:
1) they recognise the appeal as coming from this forum and cancel the charge immediately as they realise it will be hard work for them to get any money from you, or
2) they refuse the appeal and offer a code for you to appeal to PoPLA.
If you send anything else, it may not even be read. The appeal will be refused and a PoPLA code issued.
Clearly it makes sense to send the standard appeal as that might well be the end of the matter.
Your choice though. You will not find the appeal text you appear to be looking for.0 -
OK.
I'll send that tomorrow. Thank you for your help. As I said I am elderly and I am not au fait with all the legal jargon you use. One question mark is all that is necessary otherwise it makes me feel a fool which is uncomfortable and made me feel like giving up.
I shall appeal tomorrow and report back here if that is what I need to do or if it is not perhaps you'd be kind enough to tell me?0
