Afternoon
Charlie is not happy with us as we have clipped his fur and give him a bath. He is running round the living room bouncing off the furniture at the moment, lol.
I had my shift cancelled today so taking son to his hobby group then off to do a food shop. Weather is nice again, so should get some gardening in as well.0 -
Ho Indie hAd to smile imagining your Charlie all clipped and running around. Do hope the doctors can help your DS. It’s such a slow process sometimes.
Alfie great you remembered your dentist appointment are stocked up with food. Well done on starting the spring cleaning. Progress is very slow here.
When they handed out the cleaning gene my sister was given mine as well. When she cleans everything sparkles. Dad used to say she’ll dust around you and you as well if you are not careful.
I panicked this morning thinking maybe only one week before they come. We have not filled the garagevfreezer so they surely will come.
Firefly great little kitty pop up.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hi everyone,
Have had a nice break with decent weather. Did lots of walking along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and accross Hoylake to West Kirby beach. Walked so much I got blisters on the sole of my foot.
Saw Wigan Pier which I always wanted to see although I knew it was a bit of a joke (based on George Orwell book)
Well done on prizes FF and indie and anyone else who has won anything. Nothing here.
We stocked up on food on way home Alfie. Hate having empty cupboards.
Hope they sort out your DS's problems soon indie. It is so annoying when you don't know what is wrong and Drs are sometimes so completely wrong.
Know what you mean about cleaning leanfun, I am useless too. people sometimes joke I go away so much to avoid cleaning.
Going to enter a few comps now.

:hello: Good morning all
It's going to be another lovely sunny day here, once
the thick fog lifts& that can only mean one
thing ..... I can hear the garden calling!
Know what you mean about cleaning leanfun, I am useless too. people sometimes joke I go away so much to avoid cleaning.
Welcome back sheils. Sounds as if you had a
wonderful time away.
I'm most definitely with you & leanfun re cleaning! I'm
useless at it, dislike it almost as much as tackling the
ironing! To be honest, I'll find any excuse to get
out of it!
Never did get round to cleaning the other half of the
kitchen yesterday either! Ho hum!
Lol at Charlie yesterday indie, (after his trim & bath),
running around & bouncing off the furniture! :rotfl::rotfl:
My dogs used to do the same, either that or have a
good roll in the garden dirt!
Have a lovely & lucky day all, take care.

Sunny here too this morning.
Sheils pleased to hear you are home and had a good time. The walking sounds good and interesting. Sorry about your feet. Great you had good weather. Weather forecast last night said Aberdeen was the warmest place in UK yesterday 17 degrees. Hope it’s warmer for Rose.
DH is off to chiropractor again this morning probably last time. Chiropractor says his pelvis is straight now but he is in a lot of muscular pain which will take a while to go. They wanted a letter from the doctor to say he can have a massage, due to his heart condition. DH went to doctors on Monday and saw the old doctor, who we thought had retired. He told DH he would have to go back for letter. DH went yesterday and receptionist gave him a form. This had requests for all kinds of letters. Cost £45/55 and it could take up to six weeks. DH said he’s not going to bother as massage might not be suitable anyway.
One good thing on Monday DHs blood pressure was normal.
So we have not been out much and watched a lot of the parliament goings on. It’s been a big lesson on how not to run anything.
Alfie I think i’ll try the garden today but I need to attack the kitchen. Eight years ago we had a new kitchen. I researched online and we bought cupboards etc from a company in Manchester. Then the work surface from their sister company. They had an offer and we went with that so only saw it online they came and did a brilliant job of fitting it. It’s black quartz with glittering flecks in it and sparkles. The GKs used to say it’s In The Night Garden (opening track of children’s programme).
Hope everyone has a good day and weekend. I think DS is coming home for weekend.0 -
Afternoon
wow that's an expensive letter leanfun. I wouldn't have bothered either. Some of their prices are stupid. I had a friend who went to court accoused of abuse to a resident and they wanted a Drs statement regarding marks on the resident. The Dr wanted £700 needles to say they didn't use her statement. ( my friend was innocent and was cleared. The industry lost a brilliant carer when it was all over) The home that brought the proceedings was warned if they brought anyone else to court over a false claim they would be in trouble themselves. It wasn't the first time the home had done it to a member of staff.
Glad you had a good time sheils and hope the blisters heal quickly. We have another lovely day here and i put a couple of loads of washing out earlier, been out in garden pottering and having a break now. Hope you all have a good afternoon.0 -
:hello: Good morning
I hope you're all ok on yet another glorious weather
day!Looking forward to carrying on with my
gardening, still have a fair bit to do yet.
Your kitchen sounds lovely leanfun.Don't blame your DH
re his decision, can't believe how much it was going to cost
for just one letter! Have a lovely weekend with DS.
What a dreadful experience for your friend indie ... poor girl
having to go through all of that. The home should be
thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
WILL YOU SWITCH OFF FOR YOUR WORLD THIS EARTH HOUR?
In the UK, every year millions of us take part in Earth Hour. By
making pledges to help our planet, and by being part of a
movement of hundreds of millions more around the globe, we can
show we’re fighting for our world.
We are the first generation to know we are destroying the
world. And we could be the last that can do anything about it. We
have the solutions, we just need our voices to be heard.
That’s why Earth Hour is so vital – it gives a powerful voice to
people everywhere who want to put the world on the path to
recovery.
The world’s biggest landmarks – such as the Sydney Opera House,
Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace, and
Edinburgh Castle – switch off lights as a visual display of their
commitment. And you can switch off too.
Join the global movement this Earth Hour – switch off your lights
and be part of the change.... [Cont'd] >>

Our wildlife has suffered dramatically since we first met Badger,

It’s not too late to bring our wildlife back
Sadly, since we first met Badger and friends in 1908, the UK has
become one of the most nature-depleted nations in the world. The
Wildlife Trusts have created an animated trailer of The Wind in the
Willows, which brings to life the 21st century threats that would
face the much-loved characters from Kenneth Grahame's children's
classic in today's life.
On watching it, we hope that you'll be inspired to help put nature
into recovery. We know it's not too late to bring our wildlife back,
but we must act now.

Sunny here too this morning. Alfie enjoy your gardening. Thanks for links.
Indie so sorry to hear about your friend. It’s terrible when you have someone good at their job having to go through all of that and in the end a good carer is lost. This work is so needed, undervalued and underpaid. One of my friends is 91 she is now in a home across the road from her daughter. When I asked her what it was like there she said they are all so kind.
Yesterday I went to to Holland and Barrats and bought some arnica gel that might help DH. Chiropractor has done all he can and said his pelvis is back in place.
DS decided to come this afternoon. Very senior moment here yesterday. I popped over to see neighbour and there was a knock on the door it was my DD1. I had completely forgotten we were looking after GS while she went out and she thought she was going to eat with us.
Nearly end of March already. Have a good day all.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
