Turned wet and miserable here but did manage a walk in the morning. and got a bit of washing dry.

Been busy sorting out the rest of our summer breaks as both Village Hotel and IHG have sales on. Premier Inn still has a few £29 rooms about too.

Must have been scary for the woman seeing men trying to steal her dog Alfie. So many bad people going about.

Great your GS is enjoying his football leanfun. All my boys loved their football.

    Must get some comps done.

    :hello: Hi all,

No rain here, just a bit dull looking, but thankfully still mild. :p

Took puddy cat for her booster jab this morning. Aww bless ...
she was trying to hide under the towel in her cat carrier while
we were waiting for Vet. The appointment didn't take long though
& she was extra loving when we returned home, purring loudly &
wrapping herself around my legs, almost tripping me up. :grinheart

Also popped over to Beaulieu Post Office to purchase a New
Forest postcard! My daughter sent me a link yesterday entitled:
A GINGERBREAD MAN GOES AROUND THE WORLD ... CAN YOU
HELP? It's from a C of E Primary School up North - the children
have been baking Gingerbread Men this week, but one escapes
& runs away! :D The school asked if anyone had family or
friends who live in other parts of the UK or anywhere else in
    the world.

We then had to write a little message on the back of the
postcard saying 'Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch
me I'm the Gingerbread Man' & post it back to the school. The
youngsters can then use the postcard pictures & clues to learn
about the places the Gingerbread Man has been to. Sounds great
fun & educational too for the children. :T

Sounds like you did well yesterday re mega baking & freezing
session, leanfun! :T I used to love making vegetarian Shepherd's
Pie packed full of veggies & topped with mash. I'll def.
have to start cooking & freezing some again! Your GS is doing
so well with his footie! :T

Yes - but the man was probably even more scared when the
woman bit his hand to get him to let go of her dog! He wasn't
expecting that to happen! :T Good for her! :j :T:T

Must be time for a cuppa and quick comp catch up. ecrire-ordi.gif

Have a lovely evening all, take care.

Morning, great idea with the postcards Alfie. I did it once with a doll that started in Northern Ireland and when i got her we went to the pictures, visited HMS victory, and the beach. I think people thought i was mad placing the doll around the places and taking pictures, lol.I then put a little note in with the pictures explaining all the fun we had with the dolls visit and sent her to America onto the next person. I am so glad to hear the lady bit the men trying to take her dog and i am sure we would all do the same.Wish they could catch all the people that do this.
I was at work yesterday and came home to a letter from yours magazine, informing me of a beauty bundle win so that was a nice surprise.
Must get on as loads of washing to do and the weather is looking good so hope to hang it all out. Hope you all have a good day.

    Good Morning,

Lovely sunny morning and forecast good!
Got bed changed and sheets on the washing line with another small load in machine. Feeling like I am getting organised. Heading off to Wigan tomorrow for 2 nights and then Hoylake for 2. Meaning to do a bit of canal walking along the Leeds & Liverpool. Have walked all the navigatable part of the Lancaster Canal but The L&L is 127miles so will take some doing as we need to walk it twice really as got to walk back to car every time we do it.

Well done on the beauty prize indie.

We took a large stone gnome to Legoland in Denmark so we could take pictures of him to send to his owner. A friend persuaded us and he took it from his neice's garden. We also sent postcards from our holidays which were supposed to be from this gnome when our friend hid the gnome. Don't know if the woman ever knew it was us although she probably suspected her uncle of being involved. Must get on as not even thought about the packing yet.
    Wishing everyone lots of luck.

Congratulations Indie on Yours win. Smiled at you taking the doll around.

Alfie postcard idea is good well done on sending one. When GS, now in Scotland, was in Kent they had a Paddington bear and a large book for a day. They had to write and take pictures of what they did with Paddington.
GS had bear over weekend so at Walmer castle we had people looking at him taking pictures of bear.

So much for starting to prepare for DD2 and family coming. She message yesterday to say GS was sent home yesterday lunch time with chickenpox. She said he definitely had no spots in the morning. Late afternoon she had a rash. She thinks it was to do with being hot at work. We will see. Seems incubation is 1 - 3 weeks so GD might get it. I know DD1 had chickenpox but don’t remember DD2 having it.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. It’s a lot milder here but very dull.

    :hello: Good morning

Hope you're all in fine fettle today. :) Beautiful sunny start
to the day here & apparently the week ahead is going to be
    similar. soleil07j.gif

Had a wonderful day here yesterday, early forest walk then
spent the remainder of the day out gardening, as happy as
Larry! jardinage0.gif Will be doing the same today. :D

Lovely son & girlfriend are flying off to Mexico today for
a well deserved break. It was touch & go because son has
been suffering from a particularly nasty flu-like virus that's
been doing the rounds, but thankfully he's feeling 100%
better now & really looking forward to their holiday. :j

Lol! It was brilliant to hear about the doll, Paddington Bear &
very large stone garden gnome, all off on their various
travels through the years! :T :rotfl:

Have a fab time away sheils, enjoy all the lovely walks.

^^^ I also smiled fire**fly, thinking of leanfun 'bending it
    like Beckham'! :footie:  :rotfl:

I hope the blighters on the bike and also the dog snatchers
get their comeuppance too. Unfortunately, there's
quite a few lowlife out there who think nothing of the hurt
    they cause. Absolute monsters!

Sorry to hear about the family leanfun. Hope they'll be ok.
Although very relieved to hear DD2 has put hers down to
heat rash. I've heard Chickenpox is doing the rounds again.
I can remember having Chickenpox as a youngster, with
Mum constantly dabbing Calamine lotion all over me. :p
