been trying out the new omelette maker I got a few
weeks ago & must be saying it's
the best thing I've purchased for ages :j :j
for the price & ease of doing omelettes & they always turn
    out light & fluffy :j
don't think i'll ever go the old way of doing them again
    https://direct.asda.com/george/home-garden/cooking-appliances/salter-ek2716-omelette-maker/050479574,default,pd.html
fab for just plain or any type of omelettes also does other things as well
lol, no more burnt pans to soak & clean :D
am doing some mixed berry pancakes tonight in it smiam.gif

Still blowing a hoolie here fire**fly, wasn't so bad through
the day but now it seems to be getting worse!

It looks as if we'll be enjoying sunshine tomorrow for most
of the day but with a bit of hail etc thrown in for good
    measure! :p :rotfl::rotfl:

Really love the omelette pan - brilliant buy! :T I'm amazed
at how many different things can be cooked in it too - no
wonder it's sold out. Excellent price! :money: This is most def
on my list of items to buy! :j I've never been able to cook
a decent omelette either! Mixed berry pancakes sound
    scrumptious. Enjoy. :D

Have a lovely evening all, take care.

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT3huj9SwgN_5wvuwj9V5FguBe1wvhMbr7mS6-g7d5Nc6ig4QGY
New Article: Walter Arnold and the World's First Ever Speeding
    Ticket.

On 28th January 1896 Mr Walter Arnold of East Peckham became
the first person to be caught speeding in a motorised vehicle. Mr
Arnold was spotted doing a heady 8mph, four times the 2mph
speed limit, and was pursued for 5 miles by a policeman on a
    bicycle...

    safe_image.php?d=AQA6yNcW96cP-f9L&w=540&h=282&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.historic-uk.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2019%2F03%2Fwalter-arnold-1-1024x527.jpg&cfs=1&upscale=1&fallback=news_d_placeholder_publisher&_nc_hash=AQApQqvoh7LxD4AX

January 28th, 1896 must have started out as an ordinary day for
the police constable responsible for Paddock Wood, Kent. As he
pushed his bicycle through the quiet streets, he probably had
nothing more on his mind than wondering whether today was the
day he’d be able to say “You’re nicked, son” to that rogue of a
    poacher.

While proceeding in an orderly fashion through the village, the
peace of the constable’s regular beat was suddenly and rudely
shattered. He wasn’t to know that what was happening was also
an event of national, and, ultimately, international significance.

Belting past the bobby at a scary 8mph, a motorist by the name of
Walter Arnold was about to enter the record books in a burst of
exhaust fumes and a flurry of legal activity. Not only was he clearly
breaking the speed limit for one of these infernal machines, which
was 2mph, but also, and even more damningly, he had no man
with a red flag preceding him as the law required. :p

The bobby on the beat set off in hot pursuit on his regulation issue
bicycle, finally catching up with this deranged road racer after five
miles. Having captured his man, what was a bobby to do in pre-
speeding ticket days? It’s not hard to imagine a subsequent scene
between motorist and constable..... [Cont'd] >

^^^ Lol! How times have changed! :p :rotfl:

fire**fly - just had a very quick look online - it seems they're
selling like hot cakes at the mo. Amazon still have them but
at a costly price of £26.13, so I think I'll just wait until
Asda etc have replenished the stocks. It's so popular - still
can't believe how much it actually cooks - it's like a mini
    oven! :j :D

    Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.

Alfie Thanks for the Irish Blessing.

Lo to the parking fine. Had to smile at the car being chased by a bicycle.

The car we have now kept making a loud noise every now and again when we drove locally. When we first had the car we didn’t know what the noise was. One day GS kept asking and eventually the three of us realised it happened before we passed a speed camera.

    Have a good day all.

Morning everyone. Freezing here had a little flurry of snow early this morning but nothing since. See we have some forecast for this afternoon. Hope everyone is keeping warm and well. Hope those with colds and coughs are getting better. My cold has gone but still have a runny nose which is anoying. Have got soup on in slow cooker so looking forward to that later with some crusty bread and cheese.

I was struggling to find a good group for comps local to me, so we've started one on FB. Anyone local to the area, or who visits the area regularly, is very welcome to join

    :hello: Good morning

I hope you're all in fine fettle today! :) We have a beautiful
start to the week here, plenty of sunshine soleilcoeur.gif and blue
skies. Not sure how long it's going to last though! :p

Thoroughly enjoyed my forest walk earlier on, met a small
herd of cows this morning, all busily munching on the grass
& minding their own business. :D

Think I'll make the most of this weather & do a spot of
gardening today, certainly makes a lovely change not having
    blustery winds to contend with.
