Very dull here again today.
Sheils hope you get out today picnic sounds good. It’s hard worrying about our children when they are adults. Even if she’s not living with you your DD will need your support.
Well done Alfie on joining the cleanup at the weekend. DS has not been involved yet this year but he has been out clearing his local river.
Here it was dull yesterday but I managed to take GS to the park. He had been to tennis club with his mum on Sunday so she left rackets here. We are lucky one of our local parks has free tennis courts. After no exercise tennis was a killer for me. I never could play. GS even said his legs were aching as we left the court but then a few yards later found the energy to play in the children’s play area. So he was well happy.
As it’s just us this week and his Mum doesn’t have her usual day off she has managed to get a place in a childcare centre near them for two days. They take them out so he’s off to a NT place today and cinema tomorrow. We have a break till Thursday.
Well done on the Quidco win Sheils and the points. Saw the hummingbird Indie. Good luck everyone.0 -
Good morning,
Another lovely sunny day here.
DH and I went out to wash car and do some gardening yesterday but so many neighbours were going about we spent most of time chatting.
Quite a few of neighbours are like us and often away so lovely to catch up.
Well done playing tennis leanfun!
Had a strange LEM yesterday. Had entered to win a car ferry crossing to Belfast and didn't win but it gave me the option of going on the site and bagging one of the unclaimed prizes. Went on and got one of 17 prizes for return sailings to Arran for 10th June. All seemed a bit strange - they had hundreds of sailings from and to places I had never even heard of!
Quite chuffed with Arran anyway as only been once before on a different win. Didn't go to Broddick Castle last time we went as not NTS members then but will go this time I hope.
Having cuppa and then going for a walk.

Hope you're all ok & still raring to go on this not so
glorious Tuesday!
Well, the weather forecast was spot on for today - beautiful
morning followed by a wet afternoon. So went out to
Mr. T's first thing for provisions & petrol. Came home,
packed all the goodies away, went out again for puddy's food
& couple of birthday cards plus called in the vets for more
Advantage drops. Just got back indoors before the rain
started!
Well done playing tennis leanfun & really handy having a
park nearby with free tennis courts! :T Many thanks re Great
British Spring Clean. Couldn't believe how much rubbish we
managed to collect. Hard work but good fun.
Well done with Quidco wins & points sheils. Well done indie

Birds Eye marks National Unicorn Day with rainbow waffles
launch
https://youtu.be/1IvhdiU_tSE
To mark National Unicorn Day, Birds Eye has launched a new
product called rainbow potato waffles.
In line with the fantastical nature of unicorns, Birds Eye is
marketing the new product with a similar fictional narrative,
claiming that 9 out of 10 Unicorns prefer Rainbow Waffles.
'The Unicorn Research Agency' validate the marketing claim in a
tongue and cheek launch film that stars 10 'real' unicorns.
Although National Unicorn Day is just one day amongst a wash of
national marketing days that brands tap into throughout the year
since it launched in 2008 it has gained in precedence each year.
This year, a whole host of brands have jumped onboard the
national day inspired by a mythical creature. Ben & Jerry's is
offering free unicorn inspired ice cream, while Muller has unveiled
new Unicorn Corners..... [Cont'd] >>>

^^^ Love this, so true.
Died today in 1747...Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat. A Scottish
Jacobite, he was convicted of treason against the Crown and was
the last man to be publicly beheaded. Just before his execution a
viewing platform holding spectators collapsed with the death of 20
people, much to Lovat's amusement. This may be the origin of the
saying, 'laughing your head off'.

Have a lovely evening all, take care.

Ho ho to laughing your head off Alfie. I’ve never heard about the origin before. There were loads of unicorn competitions over on twitter yesterday.
Sheils well done on the Arran crossing. We went for a holiday once to Arran. Flew to Prestwick, then train and ferry rented a lovely cottage for a week. We too missed the castle as DH only hired a car for two days and we had DS, DD1 and her BF with us. Beautiful scenery but many midges in August.
Yesterday I had an email to say I was runner up for a screening of the New Mary Poppins Film. It was for grandparents and grandchildren and happening this morning. If someone dropped out they would phone but they would send me the book they are handing out at the screening.
Good job I didn’t win as GS is not here today.
Also had a message for a fiction book over on Twitter.
It’s sunny here today. Take care all and good luck.0 -

Get involved in Parkinson's Is
On World Parkinson's Day, 11 April 2019, Parkinson's UK is
launching an attention-grabbing marketing campaign to show the
reality of life with Parkinson's. Together we can make more people
sit up and listen.
We know from research that people don't think Parkinson's is a
serious condition. And people with Parkinson's have told us they
don't feel understood. In 2019 and beyond, we're working hard to
change this.
On World Parkinson's Day, 11 April 2019, we're launching
'Parkinson's Is' - a campaign to increase understanding of
Parkinson's as a serious condition.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
SOCIAL MEDIA
Together, we can make the world sit up and listen.
From 11th April, share our campaign video far and wide on your

Morning, nice day here and have put washing out.Interesting read about Parkinsons Alfie. We have a few people with the condition where i work and my sons GF uncle has it so great they have a world day for it.
I woke with stiff hands and hip today so doing dailys ect are taking me a bit longer, but hopefully they will loosen up later. Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
Morning. Has been sunny here but just disappeared.
Indie hope your stiffening eases soon.
Alfie thanks didn’t know it’s Worlld Parkinson day. One of our friends has it. His condition has deteriorated rapidly. There are so many more cases now.
This morning DD2 has decided to come here tonight with the two children. So we have been lucky enough to get an online shopping for tonight. We also have other GS here and he’s staying overnight. I’ve moved some things about and thought I’d have a break before making beds.
Firefly we added two Aunty Bessie’s crumbles. They were £1.50 each.
Suns out again. Hope everyone has a good and lucky day.0 -
Another lovely sunny morning here. We had a lovely loch walk yesterday at nearby town and couldn't believe how dry the surrounding usual marshy ground was. Don't know how long it is since we had rain. Sure it will make up for it soon. Great to cut the grass and hang out the washing anytime.
Had never heard of the "laughing your head off" story Alfie. Expect your garden is getting lots of attention these days.
Indie, hope you are feeling fitter today.
You are going to be busy again by the sounds of it leanfun.
Hope everything ok FF and rose.
Good luck to all.

Morning, hands feel better today so meds are working. It's a sunny day here, but a little on the chilly side. Hopefully it will warm up later. I had to phone the tax office earlier as they gave me a strange tax code, 20 mins i was waiting to get through but hopefully all sorted now.We shall see when i get paid next time, lol.Nothing really planned for today as yet so may do some gardening later. Hope you all have a lucky day.0

:hello: Good morning
Hope you're all ok. It's going to be another beautiful day
herebut feels chilly at the mo!
Your loch walk sounds lovely sheils. I'm still getting my
daily forest walk in & have been working in the garden
making the most of the weather!
Lovely family are all coming down to mine for Easter so
went out shopping yesterday with Easter eggs top of
my shopping list. :j Managed to get really cute ones for
little granddaughters plus a bunny bag each. :grinheart Also
bought some cheap kiddy ones for all the adultsalthough
have my suspicions that GDs will have their eyes on them
too! :rotfl::rotfl:
My youngest GD has been suffering from croup! To cut
a long story short & after a very worrying time, she was
taken to hospital by ambulance a couple of days ago. She
was seen very quickly & given a dose of steroids to calm
her breathing down, especially during the night when the
croup symptoms may worsen.
Daughter said the cough was painful to listen to & it's
been a scary time for GD, really gasping for breath &
extremely worrying for mum & dad & for all.
Anyhow, she's now full of beans & raring to go, so seems
to have made a good recovery, & thankfully back to her
normal cheerful self. :j NHS staff were excellent
throughout. :T
Have to admit, I vaguely recall hearing about croup
years ago, had no idea that it's still very common,
particularly in youngsters.
Pleased your hands are feeling better now indie. Hope
your tax code has been sorted out too.
Had a bit more luck with Topcashback - won 10p! :j :rotfl::rotfl:
Still, plenty of time yet!

20p! Yay! I'm in the money! :j :T :rotfl::rotfl:
Have a lovely & lucky day all, take care.
