:hello: Good morning
Hope you're all in fine fettle today.Mr Blackbird is singing
away outside, he always leads the dawn chorus, actually he
pretty much sings all day and I find myself whistling back
to him when I'm out gardening - he's very tame.
Looks as if we're in for a beautiful few weather days over
the Easter period, very sunny & warm!
Yesterday I was out at 8.30am giving my old jalopy a good
clean, inside & out.He was so filthy & needed doing,
absolutely splattered with mud. We were due light
rain from about 10.00am so had to get him done before
then!Managed to finish washing the outside before
the rain started. Thankfully it stopped just in time for
me to go for my 6 weekly hair trim, once back home I
gave the car a good hoover & polish inside ... so he's all
spick and span now. Another job ticked off my list. :jJust got email from Willerby daily egg comp. I have won an easter egg. I have entered so many comps to win one that finally did,lol
:icotbaske Egg-cellent win indie! Very well done.:T :j
Have a lovely couple of days at work, will be brilliant to
catch up with everyone again. :T
I have some good news to report. Firstly Dd and her BF are back together which we are really pleased about. Secondly I finally had a good win and have won a Forest Holidays break.:j:j Going to be difficult to get a good date though as some places booked up and we have loads booked already. Not had a reply yet either but hopefully all will go well.

Morning. Sunny here. DD2 took the two little ones home last night so they slept on the journey. Her DH is a lot better from the chickenpox. Apparently he had hundreds of spots. It was great seeing them all and we were even able to go out in the garden yesterday.
Alfie you sound as though you are really organised for the weekend. You’ll all have a job keeping quiet about DS’s birthday. It will be a great surprise. It’s a pleasant walk over the bridge from Waterloo to Covent garden and not too far. DD2 came up for our DSs birthday last year and we did just that.
Sheils well done on the Forest win. Brilliant win for you. Hope you get the dates you want. Good news re your DD and BF.
Indie pleased about the new contracts sounds as though they will be better for you. Well done on the Easter Egg win. Great you can help out with nephew and the boys. You had good weather for the gardening.
Last year I started to look at Instagram and did little but when I was so tired a weeks ago I had another go. I’m on iPad and as far as I can find out you can’t put pictures up on that. We have an iPhone we don’t use as a phone. There’s a + sign comes up on home page to put pictures up.
Like you Sheils I can’t be asked to follow loads of people in one completion I don’t do gleam either. I’ve followed a few people from MSE and found a few more who share. I try not to follow bloggers but companies. I have had two wins. A small toy and the festival set. Some people are doing really well with wins. Luck of the draw as they say.
Well DH is still asleep here. We have day off today. GS tomorrow he was very good with his little cousins yesterday.
Love and hugs Firefly and Rose.
Have a good day all. Be Lucky.0 -

I had bear hugs and cuddles from the staff. The manageress popped in (she runs 3 homes) and was surprised to see me, she said now we know where you are we will be asking for you.My manager popped into the home yesterday and brought me an easter egg,he always visits new homes when he gets the contracts.
I only put 3 names down when following on instagram leanfun. Won't put name after name down like some people do.

:hello: Good morning all
The weather is going to be absolutely glorious over the
Easter weekend!
Hope you had a lovely day with GS yesterday leanfun. I was
thinking of walking from Waterloo to Covent Garden. As you
say, it's a lovely walk over the bridge & shouldn't take long.
Last time I used the tube to get to Covent Garden station, I
was actually with my son and we both opted to walk up
the winding spiral stairs rather than get squished in the lift.
Well, that was a mistake! Half way up & I was really
finding it hard going, even son was starting to struggle and
he's very fit! Couldn't even speak when I finally reached the
top! Never again! :rotfl:
Covent Garden Underground Station is a central London tube
station in the heart of Covent Garden, close to Seven Dials and the
Royal Opera House. There are lifts down to the platforms, or 193
stairs for the fitness fanatic.

Survey water voles
Our fastest declining mammal needs urgent help. Together we can
work to save our much loved water voles before it's too late.
In 2015 we launched the first national survey for 20 years that will

You won't bee-lieve the work RAF Shawbury is doing. 🐝
More than 200 Red Mason bees have been collected from the base
and have been used to help start colonies at other Royal Air Force
stations.
Busy Bees: RAF Shawbury's Fight To Save Insect Population
Nests have been set up at the RAF base and moved along military
bases to help populate the bees.
RAF Shawbury is helping increase the bee population through a
project which involved giving a colony of bees a home at the
military base.
More than 200 Red Mason bees have been collected from the base
and have been used to help start other colonies, including those at
RAF Brize Norton, RMA Sandhurst and BRNC Dartmouth.
RAF Shawbury has been behind the Praise Bee project since 2014
as part of the Station Environmental Policy.
The species of bees used within the project are the Red Mason
bee, which is non-stinging, non-honey making variety of bee.
This bee is known as being a ferocious pollinator and is 200 times
more efficient than the traditional Honey Bee..... [Cont'd] >>

18th April, 1930...BBC listeners who tuned in to hear the news
bulletin were rather surprised to be informed: 'There is no news.'
Having decided that there was nothing newsworthy worth
reporting, the BBC then broadcast piano music instead.

London Widow’s Bun Ceremony
Where: Bromley-by-Bow,London - The Widow's Son pub on
Devons Road
When: Good Friday
Time: 3pm (ish)
The Widow’s Son is a pub with a great legend – the resident lady’s
sailor son was due home from voyage on Good Friday so she
baked him a hot cross bun; sadly he never appeared but each year
his mother baked a fresh bun hoping for his return. Her house
became a pub and the tradition still continues so that now there
are about two dozen buns hanging up in the pub in a net from the
ceiling (NOT over 200 as I’ve read elsewhere!).
Every Good Friday a sailor adds a bun to the collection and (fresh!)
buns are offered to all visitors. There is an ancient belief that holy
Hot Cross Buns baked on Good Friday will not decay and some
people keep them as a lucky talisman.

Helpful Hints
In 2019 Good Friday will be on 19th April. Doors open at 11 am
with DJ Vella providing entertainment throughout the day and the
ceremony at 3 pm- follow the link to the pub website for updates.
Here’s an extract from the information sent in 2018 about the
upcoming Bun Day: “As part of our annual event we gather to
commemorate those lost to the travesties of war and to remember
the unfortunate grief and love that constitutes the story of The
Widow’s Son. Sailors will join us to enjoy our delicious hot cross
buns whilst DJ Vella tells the story of The Widow’s Son with his
trademark energy and humour. Saloon League will bring back old
times with swing like vibes. As new owners, we decided to re-
establish this historic tradition last year in 2017, and would like to
welcome you all back on Good Friday”.

Wow Indie that’s a brilliant win. The mixer looks wonderful all singing and dancing. You’ll be on Great British Bake off soon. Delighted for you.
I might be wrong but I think you can only go in for prizes less than £500 for the six months.
What a wonderful reception you had at work. I’m sure Working with such lovely managers and staff will be less stressful.
Totally agree with you about Instagram. I usually do three very max four names. Good luck there.
Firefly well done on your wins. Hope you are able to enjoy the morning sunshine and pop into the garden.
Alfie we had a brilliant day with GS yesterday. He was all smiles. DD1 had taken him to Leeds castle on Wednesday with a friend with tickets I’d won and he didn’t want to go out but we went in garden.
Alfie enjoy your family weekend.
DH went to physio at hospital yesterday they have given him some exercises. We will see.
Hope everyone has a restful day. Very sunny here.0 -

Had a lovely little break and the weather was wonderful. Even had a little boat trip to Loch Leven Castle and visited DS2 and his GF. If only we had more of this weather people wouldn't go abroad.
Glad you are being appreciated at work indie.
Hope you are having fun with the family Alfie.
Hope the excercises help your DH leanfun.
Enjoy your weekend folks.
