Some people just like to be perpetually offended. The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
And continually to peck away at an irrelevance. I hope the OP has not been driven away by this pointless bickering over a word meaning child.0

The only people I know who take years out of the work place to care for young children are those who have a partner/spouse who can afford to support the family financially. Many of those families where one parent could be a full time stay at home parent still have two working parents even if one or both just do part time hours. The single parents households I know have a working parent where the parent has worked out the optimum number of hours/pay and benefit combination.
I've had an enormous number of clients who were lone parents who've chosen to live on benefits until the youngest child reached the age where they were expected to look for work - it's very common.0 -

Nobody has mentioned "the kid" issue for the last two pages except for people who've made a point of posting that the issue is irrelevant - like you have.😉😀0 -

The ideal solution would be for your partner to change her hours or even her job. However, I realise that this may not be possible0

Obviously a 'copy and paste' job as it's happened on the other thread as well. Take it as a compliment lol0 -

The poster joined this morning at 10.07am our time and made about ten posts in as many minutes. They live in New York. Can’t think why they bother - don’t they have similar forums in the US?0
