Is DPD UK the worst company in the world?

We've had a couple of occasions where DPD's timings have been out by hours or they've ended up having to deliver the next day, usually because of something like getting caught in an accident or roadworks that have meant that what should be a 5 minute job takes 15-30* (repeat that a few times and by job 10 he's probably out by 2 hours).

I always feel sorry for the drivers in that sort of situation, as it's not their fault they've spent ages in traffic.

Having said that, I have seen DPD's listing say they expect it to be another X hours, but they've then arrived in time because they had a bunch of deliveries in close proximity but the software had allowed more time than needed.

*My town is awful for that, as there is only one real route from one side to the other and once you're on it it can take 30+ minutes to move a couple of hundred yards and there is only one point in about half a mile where you can possibly try and get out of the queue (either giving up, or taking a much longer route).

Package wasnt even in Edinburgh till 1045. It updated later to up till 2200 for my 1 hour slot that couldnt be changed.
Arrived about 2030.
It never gave me any slot which ive never seen with DPD before.

IMO DPD are not the worst company in the world, Yodal are without doubt.

DPD UK is the worst company in the world. Furious.

I paid 5 pounds to receive a delivery that was missed by DPD s fault ,dpd said they can only deliver my item 4 days only after the date that i missed the delivery cause of the virus crisis and there is no way i can upgrade my delivery ,which later on i found out that was possible if i pay 5 pounds by browsing their dpd app,also i want to mention that i missed the delivery cause their driver couldn't get to the property,which before he comes to deliver i left instructions to use the back door and leave my items to my carpet

So after i paid for their service i got one of the items next day,but not both of them,so here we have a service that i paid for but not fully received,later on when i contacted dpd for a refund ,they told me something that does not make any sense they told me the driver did not knew to which carpet to leave the item and it was unsafe to leave it there,so why he left only the one item?? And not both of them and had to wait another 4 days cause the driver choose to leave only one of the items for safety reasons it does not make any sense....also they told me they do refunds only if they made the error which they did but they justify it as we did not knew to which carpet to leave the item thats so funny....but they knew only where to leave one of the items to the carpet but not both...

Dpd UK will do everything in order not to refund you for a service you paying for but received.

They will use the current covid-19 virus as an excuse they will question your intelligence by telling you lame excuses about the carpet or anything they can come out ,they can write easily a novel ,they will do everything for money they will LIE to you steal money from you.

Dpd uk as a company is here to show you that you as customer you will not be threated as a human being ,you will be threated as a low IQ ape ,they think that people are dumb and they will believe every lie they will tell you

And using the virus as an excuse it will be something that I will always remember so many people already have died from it and company like dpd uk is using for their financial advantages.

To solve my issue I contacted dpd through the phone , through the live chat and facebook page,all of them only lies where coming out of their mouth,they will try to make you feel for whatever They have done wrong its your fault.

So be warned you are dealing with a company with no remorse ,no professionalism,all about the money

So thats my experience with dpd I hope people will see it and feel the pain dpd uk caused to me by making me feel that i have no rights as a customer and as human being.

I just watched a documentary about how German company Gruenenthal made a drug which caused 5000 babies to be born without limbs. And apologised in a very patronising and insincere manner 50 years later and hasn't paid any compensation.  And you are all going on about a parcel delivery slot as if it's some kind of attack on your human rights.

Well my Update is that after making  a dispute with PayPal ,and sending them proof of what they have done to me they gave me a refund,also Dpd remove d my commen  from their facebook page saying that I finally got a refund which proves once more I was right as a customer,,when I asked Dpd why they removed my comment ,they replied ``I m glad that you received a refund from PayPal and they ve told me next time to choose a better secure place that the driver will deemed secure to leave it on your doorstep,which does not make any sense cause the driver did not even attempt to enter my property he did not used the back door as instructed ,he sent a picture of my front secure door to dpd app which proved he did not try to enter ,and all they said is next time choose a safer place.....Even when i got the refund and someone else understood that I was right they wanted me to show me that not even an apology I wont wont get ,this is how much they dont care about people

DPD have delivered on and off for a fair few years. Have never had reason to complain. Saddened to hear others are not so lucky.
