Is DPD UK the worst company in the world?

I’ve actually received really good service from DPD, the driver was delayed because of the weather and stayed on beyond his shift to fulfill order and I was updated of the delay via email.0
-
So you want better service (because 1 item was delayed 24 hours) from a company that charges 1/3 less than a better courier?
Jesus Christ.
I am with the others, I will tend to order with those that deliver by DPD than any other courier. Never had a bad delivery with them. It also helps they use the same driver in my area so he knows where to put my packages if I am not around.0 -
I do apologise OP I misread your username.0

As far as I am concerned they are the best delivery company, they give you a date with an hour time slot so you don't have to wait all day in case you miss them and you can track the delivery of your package, plus the option to change the delivery day if it is inconvenient.0

Thank god it was not Yodel, you would still be waiting for it in April!0

I think you're in a minority here pmatt and you're sounding like a bit of a drama queen. I'm with the others and have only ever had good service from DPD. They're generally one of the better couriers out there and it was a real shame when Amazon stopped using them. That's not to say that even with them things can't go wrong, particularly this time of year.0

In answer to the question in the OP'S title:
No they are not (the worst company in the world).
In fact, as couriers go, they are one of the best.0 -
I find DPD second to none as a courier company and all of the others out there have a long way to go to even come close to being as good as them.
Considering a good chunk of the country has been at a standstill due to snow and it is the run up to Christmas it’s hardly a big deal that something arrived just a day late. I had no mail between Saturday and Wednesday due to snow and seven parcels between four couriers were delayed. But I’ve ordered in plenty of time for when I need them so it’s no big deal, just glad all of the couriers and my postie got here safely in the end.
You also don’t say what your original delivery window was, if it was a 3-5 day deliver and they arrived on say days 3 and 4 then they have still delivered within their promised timescale.0 -

I agree the time slot would be useful if they actually turned up.
I waited in yesterday checked on the tracking and it said the driver could not find my address my parcel went back to the depot.
They have my tel no so why not ring?
I emailed the sender and lo and behold the driver found my address today.0 -
I also think DPD are one of the best.
they can hardly be blamed because you didnt leave enough time between ordering and needing to resend to your friend0
