If i want to eat crappy toffee and chocolate, thats my business.

Of course it is, and there's nothing wrong with eating crappy toffee and chocolate!

I do agree with Anon here that an organisation that sells its eating plan as healthy shouldn't be telling its members that a curly wurly is a better choice than an avocado. Why is avocado even a 'syn' its fantastically healthy?

It's because it contains fat. SW advocates very low fat things.

And I agree about eating crappy toffee and chocolate, or whatever your choice of chocolatey goodness is. My point, as you seem to have grasped, wasn't about not being able to eat a curly wurly, it was about the fact that in 'syn' values, a curly wurly is allegedly 'better'.

SW don't tell it's members that a curly wurly is a better choice than an avocado. YOU decide, you can have either, i eat avocado regularly on SW, i also eat chocolate and toffee. If you want to have both at the same time, it's allowed. Although best not together :) I make this avocado salad often, i leave out the fat free dressing because i don't like them, i use normal mayo mixed with lemon juice. A curly wurly and this salad have the same syn value by the way.

Except that one portion of avocado is twice the serving size given here, meaning one portion would be 7 syns. More than a Curly Wurly.

Just because you 'can eat anything you want', doesn't mean the way they tell you how much is good. And they tell you how much by making the syn values as they are.
