UnclaimedEnergy, I live in East Midlands region, where Green Energy are considerably more expensive than Outfox the Market! Using Ofgem's medium usage, my Fix'd 20 9.0 is £722/yr, my rollover tariff One Green Flex 2.0 is £744/yr and Green Energy Palm Tree is £779/yr (without E7 is £762/yr), the figures speak for themselves!

Are OutFox The Market the only company that has such warped pricing that their dual fuel deal is beaten by their own separate supplies prices?

Ah... so you're on about a fixed tariff that new people thinking of signing up won't be able to get from them. Got it.

I'm talking about tariffs currently on the market which new customers can sign up on.

Again, there are 8 regions where Outfox aren't the cheapest though - I'm not too concerned about where you are.

If you're someone looking to join Outfox because they're advertised as the cheapest, just run a price comparison as they may not be the cheapest in your area.

UnclaimedEnergy, Green Energy Palm Tree is considerably more expensive than my rollover tariff One Green Flex 2.0, which new customers can sign up on (as you describe it)!
  • Outfox have a new fixed tariff, FIX'D 20 14.0.

£70 more expensive than their One Green Flex 2.0 in Clif's region

Either they've got their variable hedged back really far with Orsted, or they're wanting customers to join on their variable still to enable them to do a big price increase for them once the rest of the market raises their prices due to the rising wholesale.

UnclaimedEnergy, Green Energy also have a cheaper variable tariff and a more expensive fixed tariff, but in East Midlands region using Ofgem's medium usage, I'm disappointed because Outfox the Market only win with their variable tariff!
  • ***Warning**** - A post has gone into the 'Outfox the Market customer discussion group' asking for people to sign up to MSE and post positive feedback.

The posts since 22nd August are from legitimate customers and are true.

However these will be from customers who are head over heels with Outfox and are going out of their way because of the dedication they have to the company.

Be kind to the individuals though, they just want to help out a struggling energy company.

I almost didn’t switch to Outfox because of the low rating it has been given by MSE - but I’m so glad I did.  Been with them almost a year now & changed from the initial variable to a cheaper fixed rate tariff when they introduced it a few months in.  I regularly check the tariffs on MSE & on a few occasions other small suppliers would have been slightly cheaper for me, but my fixed tariff is currently over £170 cheaper/year than the next cheapest & that’s fixed until Feb 2021!  Together with their proactive customer service (they actively encourage suggestions for improvements on their Facebook discussion page) - it’s a great package.  But the low rating on MSE does make me question what other inaccuracies there are on the MSE Site, where as I use to trust the info on it.
  • Look, anyone even considering dealing with this company; let me be the voice of sensible reason.
Before you sign up. Do your research on this lot. Know who you are dealing with before you commit. It only takes 30 minutes. You can do it while you are watching TV in the evening. Search them out on google. And read past the 1st page of results. Have a look at the ASA rulings about this company. Do a quick search on companies house. They are part of FISCHER & FISCHER FUTURE HEAT.
Know what you are letting yourselves in for. You will have to wait a minimum of one month for any credit to be refunded. They conduct their customer services on Facebook for goodness sake. I mean come on. What kind of company does that. Why can’t their call centre just deal with stuff on the 1st call.
We know why....it’s all about CLICK BAIT on their Facebook group. But what these people don’t realise is that all the honest publicity is hyperlinked all over the internet. They cannot drown it out. No matter how hard they try.
Actually, you can contact Outfox Customer Service via phone or online chat - both have been answered/ dealt with swiftly on the odd occasion I’ve had to use it.  The Facebook Discussion page is suppose to be just that - discussion or suggestions from their customers on how they could improve things.   As well as customers sharing their experiences.  It’s clear from some posts that some customers have no idea how energy charging works & thus their questions/queries help to educate others.  Well done to Outfox for being brave enough to put up a Customer Discussion Group, because let’s face it, people rarely comment to say something is good - normally it’s to complain about something!
