Petriix, I'm interested to know, which more expensive provider you're seriously considering switching to please?
  • ***Warning**** - A post has gone into the 'Outfox the Market customer discussion group' asking for people to sign up to MSE and post positive feedback.

The posts since 22nd August are from legitimate customers and are true.

However these will be from customers who are head over heels with Outfox and are going out of their way because of the dedication they have to the company.

Be kind to the individuals though, they just want to help out a struggling energy company.

I'd probably go back to Green.energy. They seem to be genuinely trying to do the right thing; and their representatives who post on this forum are entirely transparent. OTM seem to have highly questionable ethics to go with their low prices.

Petriix, Outfox the Market representatives don't post on this forum, so I don't know what highly questionable ethics you're talking about? But for me as a customer, price is everything because gas and electricity is exactly the same from all providers, customer service is the only other variable and surprisingly Outfox the Market's customer service is excellent, which is an added bonus!

Very well put Clif, Customer service is an important variable so I  felt I needed to share the trustpilot scores to give a balanced approach.

    Green.Energy have a 4.8/5 on Trustpilot
    Outfox only has a 4.6/5

(Green.Energy also haven't got any records of trying to take their customers to court)

UnclaimedEnergy, Green Energy (96%) and Outfox the Market (92%) both have excellent customer service, but Green Energy are considerably more expensive than Outfox the Market, who also supplies 100% renewable electricity!
  • What l like with both GNE and OTM you can phone them and they answer it quickly. I did ask GNE if I could transfer to their cheaper tariff and they said yes, but there was a £50 exit fee, fair as it was in their T&T. However with OTM the tariff has no exit fee.

Unless you worked for them yourself, how could you possibly know this?

Using Ofgem's medium TDCV's (2,900kWh elec and 12,000kWh gas) Green.Energy are cheaper in:

    Eastern
    London
    Northern
    North West
    Scotland
    North Scotland
    Southern
    and Yorkshire

8/14 regions Green. are cheaper for the average user in the UK based on Ofgem's medium usage.

Please don't lie about prices to mislead people on the forum.

Cue the caveats - only for E7, only in NN7 postcode, only on tariffs available last year, only with a Westerly breeze, .....
