You all seem to know far too much about the tariffs on offer and the various Facebook spats and injunctions to be casual observers.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I am friends. In any case i understand the energy industry well enough, have dealt with regulators both FCA & Ofgem in my previous life.

Just wondering while posting this comment if anyone knows what the protocol is for deleting posts on this forum? I only mention this in passing because I notice several comments in this thread have been deleted (by whom in the absence of site moderators)?

Users can delete own posts, MSE Forum team delete posts when posts are reported using report function if forum rules have been broken, Board guides may also be able to delete posts, certain number of spam button reports might also lead to posts being removed.

Wow. As a rank outsider, this all sounds a bit bizarre. If all this isn’t enough to put someone off transferring to this company, I don’t know what is.
i must admit, i did follow that link to the Facebook group called “Outfox the market discussion”, and I couldn’t find anything racist there.
It is only on here where comments mention individual names. Which I personally think is a bit risky because we don’t know who posts these comments & claiming they come from somebody could be risky. Especially if there is also targeted abuse to this darren and stephen.

maybe someone should tell them they are being discussed here. so they know about it.

I can’t see that.

Sorry, to be clear I am not anti-OFTM. 

I am against misleading posts that make statements that are untrue and could mislead forum members. 

If OFTM were cheapest for all users, as @clif regularly claims, I would have no objection to such posts. But they're not - they're 8th on my uSwitch comparison - so the claims are untrue. It's as simple as that.

The pack hunting attitude against anyone who dares challenge such untrue posts is there for all to see and form their own opinions.

I am normally a well behaved sort of character so just wondered who's toes I had trodden on? No private message as to how or why so really just probing in a way to see how this forum is moderated.

If you are against misleading posts etc.... you should not be endorsing the misinformation being posted by peoples_princess & Froglisland. Yet you were endorsing those comments which are a pack of lies.
As to pack hunting attitude perhaps you have not seen their FB page & them pedalling the same lies on here. They made it personal & someone needs to take a stand otherwise they keep getting away with it.
Why don't you visit their FB page & perhaps you will understand how they were trying to make this discussion very toxic. Please read their comments they have posted on this forum.
Let this be an energy forum page...lets play the ball & not the person.

I appreciate the honesty here, and I understand the dilemma you must be in, in the face of such attack from two people who have not even corrected your suggestion that they are the Facebook vigilantes.

Unfortunately this whole spat has only reduced confidence in both OFTM and any advice on this forum. This used to be a place where genuine customers (like me) could share their experiences... but when I post asking for other genuine customer experiences I just get the two sides of this spat shouting at each other it removes my trust in any of you.

Personally I think this thread should be locked and the IPs and accounts on both sides who have only posted extreme views favorably or unfavorably here should be banned, and the thread started again.
