Spoke to the EA move manager. Apparently the mortgage was offered and when the solicitor was sorting all the paperwork out to write a report it would appear that the interest rate was 2% higher than they applied for. So they immediately arranged a new mortgage with a different lender with a desktop valuation so didn't say anything, especially as our purchase was delayed. And then the lender wanted a proper valuation. So it will delay things by a couple of weeks, so hopefully our purchase will catch up. EA said exchange and completion needs to have a few days between as our vendors are still in the country. She mentioned maybe completing the last week of Oct, and so I said first week of Nov would be better to save us some money. So we are aiming towards this date now. So contacted a couple of removal companies. Feel a little more settled about it all now.our buyers could have pulled out over this, but went straight to another lender, so as long as it isn't down valued we should be ok.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Nothing else to report re the house move. We signed all our documents and s my them back to our solicitor. Our buyers survey is booked in Monday morning, so hoping they will have a mortgage offer by the end of next week.
Have one removal company doing a video survey next week, and the company we used three times in 2007-2009 coming around on the 13th.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Survey was done yesterday, so now just the wait for their mortgage offer. Am going to email solicitor tomorrow to see if last two enquiries are done, am hoping for 3rd November move date. Have a video call from a removals company tomorrow which means the smallest will probably miss swimming. Although I could get the girl to take him......Debt free Feb 2021 🎉6

Removal call didn't happen, postponed until Monday morning. Works better for me anyway.
Not heard anything from anyone, so taking that as good news 😂 emailed solicitors and actually got an automated email back saying basically leave us alone as we are so busy! Bit annoyed actually. I just need to know if our buyers have any more queries, and if our vendors have cleared up the final enquiry. Will speak to the EA on Monday to chase as she can contact the other solicitors as well. I am sure our solicitor is working on it all (after the delay in August) but I really want to start discussing dates.
Typically our boiler isn't working. Hot water is fine, but actually tried to get the heating on (don't need it yet, but I always like to test it before it gets too cold) and while the boiler fired up and got warm none of the radiators did. Called plumber, said it will be a stuck valve inside due to not being used for months, hoping to swing by on Monday Eve. I have also noticed that the plastic collar on the flue (the bit that sticks to the brickwork) appears to have broken off and disappeared 🤷🤦 so will see if he can order one.
I also found another electric cert from 2015, which our buyer asked for. I had filed it with the instruction manuals which I went through to see which ones to leave (cooker etc). But I don't want to send it in if they are happy to purchase without, as me sending it to my solicitor and them sending it on will take ages. Have already said we didn't have it.......am obviously going to leave it on the kitchen side with the manuals when we move with an apology, but if they are happy to complete without it then will keep quiet. If it is still an enquiry I will send it in. With them being landlords I imagine they will be instructing gas and elec checks before renting it out anyway.
Have a tip appointment booked tomorrow and don't have much to go. Taking some bits for a friend, and am going to go through the garden shed box for some stuff, but not a car load like last week. Am still booking one every weekend until we move, as will have a bed to go at some point. Thinking if keeping the bunks, have had to try and find the instructions online. I will have to take them down a couple of days before we complete in order to paint the wall behind them! But decided they will be handy for the small two, even if it's just until after Xmas, gives us time to decide if bunks or two singles will suit them better.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5 -

No word from solicitors, assume anything outstanding is being worked on, I will try and call on Thursday I think, just to let them know we will pay for the indemnity she seems desperate for us to have for the garage conversion. On top of the one already in place!
Had a video call yesterday with a local removals company. Quote came in at what I thought it would, have another one coming in an hour. Which will be awkward if the plumber actually turns up when he said he would (not holding out much hope tbh, might get him to actually put it in his diary properly for next week. We are not cold yet) as then we will be well over numbers and two tradespeople at once in the house!!!
So I have the 3rd November in my head as the absolute earliest we will be moving, but tbh how things stand now I think it will be closer to mid Nov now. Which means more time to save.....

So had a second removal company round. They are booked up four weeks in advance atm and are slammed! So if we have to wait for two weeks for our buyers mortgage offer we probably won't be moving until mid November.
Solicitor sent an email, apparently our conservatory is younger than I thought so an indemnity policy is needed as we don't have permission from the HA for it. Funny how this didn't matter 11 years ago! But for £70 we just don't care right now 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
