Had a relatively quiet week in work this week. Two jobs cancelled due to ongoing building works, but overall I will be back to earning £500+ this month due to the way the days fall.

Our bank accounts are looking really healthy due to all the saving towards moving, but I desperately want to start shopping for Xmas but don't want to do it and then have to move presents!

Still no news on our buyers mortgage offer. Have decided to give up and resign ourselves to it all falling through. That way if it goes through I will have a nice surprise 😂 not convinced this is going to help my stress levels though! And the longer it takes the more money we have towards it.

Hubby got paid today. He had £500 left over from last month so he now has 1.5k in his Monzo account (this is the first time he has EVER had savings!) If we move we want a nice big oled Tele for the new front room so have been pricing them up. So we have enough for one of those and any extra this month will go towards a new fridge freezer and beds.

I have £700 towards removals,so only another £250 left to find which we will have by the middle of November.

But still no news. Going to do some chasing next week and re-evaluate then.

Still no news on buyers mortgage. Spoke to EA on Monday, she is chasing as much as she can, as is buyers mortgage broker, still really annoyed at the whole situation. I gather our vendor is very upset with the delay. Emailed solicitors to find out if there is anything left outstanding, nothing back as yet, just want to know that all conveyancing is done so we can get ready to exchange as soon as the mortgage offer is in. If they get it that is. It's apparently a complicated situation with the number of properties they own as a couple and as an individual. And with mortgage companies scaling back it's definitely getting much harder to get a mortgage. Just annoyed that this has so far delayed us a month. If it falls through I think we will give up and try again later next year maybe.

It's just frustrating as hubby needs a proper office set up and we haven't done it as waiting to move. Everything feels on hold tbh. I haven't started any Xmas stuff as waiting, there is no room for a tree in this house now we have the cats and I haven't bothered getting a new bed for one of the boys because we will be moving.

And talks of lockdowns are also making me twitchy, atm I am hoping it all goes quickly and we can get removals, but solicitors are totally snowed under and any lockdown will stop mortgages being issued again. And the stamp duty holiday end date is getting closer.

Just annoyed with it all tbh. Moving isn't the end of the world, but nothing has come onto the market anywhere near as perfect as this house we are trying to buy, which will always grate a bit I think.

Anyway, will keep plodding on and see what happens, something has to by Xmas or it will definitely all collapse.

My paye job is definitely shaky and I will need to make a proper decision in Jan I think, which will obviously affect any mortgage, another reason to just get this move over the line.
