Spend day today - needed milk.
Cooked turkey today for Christmas dinner round 2. Think we will be eating turkey and stuffing for the rest of the week!
Don’t know what I have planned for tomorrow- DH is working from home, I think I’ll clean up (again) and I might pop down to Next and see if I can find anything as I have £50 vouchers. Not sure yet though.
Today has been a long day, so I’m looking forward to a more relaxed day tomorrow with a decent lie in. Not back at work until Tuesday.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a belated 'Happy Christmas'... I hope you are all keeping well and celebrating all your hard efforts over the last few months.
I am now officially a 'Northerner' again having relocated to Manchester back in October! I'm on reduced hours in my new job and money is tight and will be for the foreseeable future... We have kind of got into the swing of things with looking after Mum and Dad is now out of hospital and on the mend. Still a way to go, and I know my input will be needed from now until they pass away - but - I'm here and establishing a new routine - and the desire to get back on track and re-establish my NST ways has surfaced... so that's got to be a good thing, right?
... So if I may - I would love to join you all in 2018 again?
It would be lovely to be back in the fold and part of the team once more!
Lots of love xxx⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Had a lovely Christmas, but to my surprise Xmas day wasn't a NSD. This is because TCB sent me an offer that if I made a purchase over £5 then I would get a bonus £2.50 cash back. There was something I was going to buy anyway, and I was worried about it selling out so bought it.
It was £8.48 including postage, but I bought it through paypal where I had £5 from a phone app payout, so if you also deduct the £2.50 bonus then effectively it cost me 98p!
It was a football match programme which I had asked OH to get me when he went to said match, and he forgot. In the same week he had also forgotten that I had told him to never reveal my secret embarrassing crush to anymore, and told a work colleague. Grrrrr. :mad:Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Welcome back abundant.
I have spent most of Christmas in bed with this horrible cold/flu virus which is doing the rounds. I am up today but still feel terrible.
No money spent since buying milk on Sunday, not interested in the sales at all, me and DH told the few people that buy for us we didn't want anything for Christmas so we more or less didn't get anything. DD made me some soaps at Guides, DS bought me a large bar of chocolate and MIL bought me a big bottle of Baileys and that was it. Very happy that no further rubbish has taken up permanent residence in our home via me and DH or the sales.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi all
Today is a spend day as we need a few bits.
Things are likely to get tight in the new year, booo! So I will be making a point of going YS shopping and making the most of my annual passes. Planned a picnic on sat to beamish as I have an annual pass. I guess ill take it one month at a time:)
Really looking forward to c parcs with my boys and getting some quality time with them. Making sure I take everything I can to keep costs down.
Greatful for- my family, having enough- more than enough, for life skills- passed down from family & friends helping me keep costs low and for having cupboards and garages filled with things for my kids to do to keep life wonderful for them even when we dont have a lot to spend0 -
Hello Abundant. I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering what had happened to you. Nice to see you back.
I think I'm at NSD 5 but to be honest I don't really know - a bit lost and confused this month. Not going out today. It's freezing and icy and I'm terrified of falling. Lots to do. More washing (it is never ending!), need to find somewhere for the Christmas presents to go and I seriously need to start thinking about next year's goals. Must get out the diary and notebooks and start planning.
We're having the remainder of yesterday's goulash for dinner (getting in the mood for our trip next month!) and I really need to make a meal plan for the next three weeks. The freezer and fridge are so full I don't know what's in there. C is banned from food shopping for the foreseeable future!
So just finishing my coffee, going to have a shower and get on with it.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
