If you used
you wouldnt look like a rambling crazy person.
I'm not sure that would help!
OP you've had your answer. I suppose the key question is why are you so opposed to giving your number?
You keep saying it's personal information, which isn't strictly true, but it ALONG with other information could be. So for example your name, DOB, address and telephone number collectively is personal information.
However you will share personal information every day. Presumably you introduce yourself to people you meet. You provide your phone number to various organisations, including school, employer etc. Your address is on all the mail, which your postman sees, and is on all orders you may place. Your DOB could be checked quite regularly when purchasing age restricted items.
The point is that information which is shared is used responsibly and for the purposes required. In this case I'd suggest if the driver turns up and you aren't stood waiting, it's so they can ring you and let you know.
If you have evidence the information is being abused, contact the ICO.0 -
Oh oh. The Kwiksave delivery with the sherry must have arrived.
I didn't think that Kwik Save was still in existence. Weren't they taken over by Gateway which then went out of business itself?
To the OP. Try and read posts properly. I suggested Iceland as an option as you can do your shopping physically and then hand it over to them to deliver later on after you have walked home. My mother in law uses it a lot. Nothing wrong with Iceland.0 -
Really hadnt noticed that.. never noticed a customer standing outside a taxis taking the reg down.. that reg number should be texted to the customers phone and that would be a valid reason to have a mobile phone number... protection of both... cause if that was the case i wouldnt have put my question up in the first place!
When I use taxis the taxi company text the reg no of the car that is going to pick me up and when they are there.
Not sure how you think they are going to txt u though, as we know you won’t give them your number...please use the quote button0
