It does but its in a leather case thing and I was on the headset0 -
You've got a busy and important time for you in the next week or so, so it's time to stop worrying about your mother for the meantime and concentrate on your work. I'm sure you'll make a success of it, as you sound very conscientious.
Good luck with it.0 -
Does nobody else find this hard to believe.
Please just move out, grow up, and stop moaning.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

Unfortunately a controlling parent is not deterred by moving out. The only thing that can deter them is lack of contact. Moving 200 miles away doesn't work. I must say that this is what I love about modern phone systems, you know who is calling & you can ignore them.
30 years ago my discovery of answering machines enabling call screening was whilst not a life saver was certainly a sanity saver. Everyone I wanted to speak to just kept talking, leaving a message until I picked up. Anyone else could leave a message which I felt free to ignore. Basically it was about training. Speak to me & have a go = answering machine & no call back for a week, do it again = 2 weeks. Eventually they realise that if they want to know if you are still alive they have to play nice. Don't wait until your mid forties like I did.0 -

No, it's hard to understand but easy to believe.
You've obviously never lived with somebody who has undermined your confidence over a lifetime.0 -
Maybe you should ask her how she has so much knowledge about drug dealers...
Most people if they worried about a big flash car would jump to the conclusion that he'd got into debt for it. Not that he was Pablo Escobar!
I've been trying to think of a way of putting this that won't offend anyone, but I can't so I'll just go ahead anyway. Usually these types of threads have most replies on the side of the parent. The fact that all the replies are on your side - including ones from older posters - really shows that it's your mum who's in the wrong and not you.
'Picking' your sister's partner sounds worrying. You do know that's not normal, right?
Perhaps the OP comes from a culture where that's normal?0 -
