Lovely idea - but I reckon a couple or three clothes pegs would achieve the same result... ?

There's a link to a list of 25 tips which may or may not be useful. Many of them I know OSers will already know http://www.thedailybuzz.com.au/2011/11/25-clever-ideas_household-tips_storage-ideas/

Some of those are awesome!!! Thank you so much for posting!

I love the biscuit cups one, never would have thought of the apple (does it work) and the rail for the spray bottles is genius!

That sounds slightly crazy, but I'll try it!

Did you try buttering your bread with the back of a spoon?

Saved tearing the bread but makes more washing up as you still need a knife to cut the sandwich in half!

The cost of blades is shocking. Now, you can get your own back by making your usual blades last 3 or 4 times longer. Just simply thinly smear the blade with petroleum jelly (castor oil is great, too) before use and re-apply 2 or 3 times during the shaving process. My blades used to last a week - now they last a month!

Just a tip told me many years ago ,and just thought to post it !!
Put a dab of Swarfega on any marks on clothes ,leave it 10 mins or so then pop into washer ,works better than all the fancy stain removers (that don`t work)
You can sometimes spot it in the pound store type shops, works on skin, and I have never had a problem on clothes, even old stains.
Do I need it or just want it.

I haven't seen this stuff for years. I remember my brother using it on his hands in his younger days after he had been tinkering with his motor bike. We never used it on clothes but it's worth a try - and as you say, stain removers do not work!!

Oooh I saw some swarfega in Poundland today! Wish I had picked some up because I have some trousers with paint splodges that won't budge. I have also got some hair dye on my cream curtains (grr) might give it a go. Thanks.

Use the top of your cut-off plastic bottle as a funnel. I use mine to put HM garlic mayo into my squeezy bottle. Perfect fit!

The bottle tips are brilliant - thank you!

I use cut down 2L drink bottles as mini cloches for vulnerable little plants in the garden - just push the bottle a couple of inches into the soil and it makes a nice protective dome over a recently planted out plant.

I'm sure I'll think of some more in a minute...!
