have cleaned the top of the kitchen cupboards today and yuk! am thinking of sticking some cling film across the top so can remove and replace instead of scub and vom, what do you think? too much? lol
My mum used to use newspaper!

It was then fun looking at the date of the last time it was cleaned.

I just lay a few sheets of newspaper on top of the wall cupboards and change every couple of months when the cupboards get cleaned out, saves the grime and grease sticking to the cupboards and it's quick and easy to replace.

My mum used to use a left over or specifically bought pretty wall paper for inside cupboards and on top.. So when you do get to look there it looks pretty too. And it withstands some tough love.

I put offcuts of lino on the top of my cupboards. They are easy to lift down and clean. Of course cleaning is still involved but you can soak them in the sink to help soften the muck!

I`ve had the same thing and have put tea towels along the top which then can be chucked in the wash when the tops of the cupboards are cleaned.

My left over hot water goes into a flask to be used later for a cuppa.I also have a small bucket in my shower that I use when running the shower before the water gets hot. This water is used for cleaning or I throw down the loo for flushing at times.Being on a meter and saving water (even with all the rain we have had is important)I live in the 'dry' south east and water is precious.

I use matching shampoo and conditioner which means they are easily confused while I'm in the shower without my glasses. Putting a red elastic band, (freebie dropped regularly on our path by the postie) around the shampoo one tells me that's the one I need first.

I wouldn't have thought it would stay stuck down. If you clean the tops of the cupboards with liquid soda crystals all that yuck comes off really easily. I don't have that problem as I don't have any kitchen cupboards on the walls unfortunately and we really could do with some.

You could stick drawer lining paper or newspaper on top I suppose, that might work.

Newspaper's excellent for this - being slightly absorbent, of course. My Grandma used to do this and I posted this on the flylady thread once,

And it's cheaper than both other options.
