similar to this;
6) Items bought in bulk, for stock cupboard, or wherever, I put a small label with d.o.p. on them
I do this with my white goods, just on the back.
I also photocopy the washing machine cycle table out of the instruction booklet when i get a new one and laminate it to pop on the front of the machine with a magnet.
I store the duvet covers/sheets/extra pillowcase for each bed inside the remaining pillowcase, then on each persons bed change day I just pop a bundle on the stripped bed for them.
not sure these are tips tbh, oh well.
I use supermarket wine carrier bags like this one
as cleaning caddies, they are great for scooting round the house and hold spray bottles, roll of bin bags, air freshener etc really neatly.
I also have one in the car with the de-icer, cloths etc in.
I have another I cut the deviders out of and use this to hold my other shopping bags folded up, its neat, takes up no space at all and very convenient.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42

Ohhhhhhh, I like the wine carrier/cleaning tip, off to find mine now...:T edit, found 2 so going to use one for the car and those annoying bottles that keep falling all over the place, and one for the household stuff.
Great tips everyone...:D0 -

I put an old but clean tea towel in the bottom of the drawer in the fridge, it seems to help stuff stay fresher longer and catches any condensation and can be boil washed to get rid of any yuckies.Blah0

Great idea about the wine carrier!
Thought of a couple more:
1. I save all envelopes and flyers with no print on the reverse and use these for shopping lists etc.
2. I never use the full amount of washing powder/liquid - unless the laundry is genuinely dirty (and most of the time it really isn't actually dirty, just in need of a freshen up) you can easily get away with half. I also use a tiny splosh of fab conditioner (for the smell more than anything) with a little white vinegar to soften clothes.
3. Similarly, half a DW tablet does the job just as well as a whole one.
4. If you are moving furniture around and there are dents in the carpet where the stuff used to be, an ice cube in the dent will bring the pile back up. I have no idea why, but it's something my mum used to do!
5. Value/basic baby wipes are brilliant for cleaning stains on clothing if you are out and about - it takes out the worst of it and 9 times out of 10 is enough to ensure the stain comes out in the wash.
6. I used to buy expensive kitchen and bathroom wipes for cleaning. It's much cheaper to use a bit of kiitchen roll with a bit of Stardrops on to do the same job. A washable cloth would be even cheaper (but for the loo I prefer to use something disposable... not very OS, but giving in to OCD!)
7. Tesco value baby shampoo/bubble bath/baby lotion are all brilliant and cost around 10p each. Huge savings!
Hope these help

I love this tip, and will label them too so I can easily tell apart my plain and self-raising. I keep my flour on the bottom shelf of a low cupboard so it's not always easy to tell at first glance :T.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
WD40: Protects silver from tarnishing; removes lipstick stains; loosens zippers; removes stains from SS sinks; removes tomato stains from clothing; keeps glass shower doors free from water spots; restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in cars; keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades and other tools; removes splattered grease on stoves; keeps bathroom mirrors from fogging; removes all traces of duct tape - plus the usual lubricating squeaks etc.
Always hang your loo roll with the end away from the wall. You use less this way.
I always cut soap filled pads in half, they're far too big for a single use, usually.Normal people worry me.0 -
Can I join in please? There are some great tips on here
A couple of things I do,
When I boil the kettle I put the spare boiled water in to a flask. I find I can easily make my next cup of coffee without putting the kettle on again.
Squeeze the toilet roll tube so that is does not move as easy, this really does cut down on the use.£36/£240

Store bars of soap in airing cupboard, they last much longer when dried out.
Mix own antibacterial spray from zoflora, water and a bit of wul, in a spray bottle. Get lots of bottles lots cheaper than a dettol spray.
Am going to try the wd40... Do you think it would remove a pink ice lolly stain from a tshirt?Bossymoo
