Goodbye to dunstonh

Would also like to echo the many comments about dunstonh as he has provided me with a great amount of free/expert advice over the years.
I also don't have a lot of faith in the FMs who I've found to be over-zealous at times, and I've also noticed in the past that their way of dealing with anything critical of them is to simply delete it.0 -
It was on page 2 of the savings and investments board when I checked a couple of hours ago.
Not the same thread - that one was started this Wed. I was talking about a thread from a couple of weeks earlier - either 18th or 19th Oct., can't remember which - which disappeared overnight.0 -

Dear MSE/Martin I wonder if you value what your contributors contribute adequately. Where would you be without them? Just a thought. Unmonetised I have borrowed from my future self

The relevant thread to this debate is that thread I noted, originally started in 2015 but revived again a few weeks ago.0 -
It does get very tempting to reply to all new threads asking for help with 'Sorry, I could answer your query, but am on strike pending the re-instatement of dunstonh...'0

Sad to see this person go, has given me a lot of fair, knowledgable and un-bias information over the last few years.0

Straight talking providing of opinions shouldn't be penalised with a PPR.
Writing in a blunt manner, while at the same time opening up other options for others to think about, shouldn't be penalised with a PPR.
Analysing each point of a post in a dispassionate manner shouldn't be penalised by a PPR.0 -
The fawning for dunstonh is way beyond cult adulation of a guru, especially when there are dozens of posters who repeat, and provide, the same guidance as did dunstonh.
None of us are vital to others here, you will all survive without this or that poster.
This is a commercial site, no surprise at what MSE ptb do.
What is shocking, is the herd mentality of many here, dressing up in sackcloth and ashes, and saying the sky is falling down. Grow up..._0 -
Now there's a man with an axe to grind.0
