Goodbye to dunstonh

Just to add my voice that I'm sad to find out dunstonh has been banned. I would never have had the confidence to do the things I have without his help. DH and I will retire sooner and more wealthy thanks to him.

Every now and then I would specifically look back at what he had been posting to others and never failed to pick up some useful bit of knowledge that expanded my understanding of saving and investing.

Sorely missed.

I too am sorry that dunstonh has been banned. He always seemed to have endless patience with members who genuinely couldn't grasp the basic facts/technicalities of their situation.

I was really surprised when I logged in on Wed. to find three separate threads running about this - I posted on an earlier thread about about this PPR on 18th or 19th Oct., only to find the next day that the whole thread had been deleted. I presume a subsequent poster must have said something well out of order.

Nope, thread is still there but several posts have been deleted.

Has it been moved? It was in Forum Policy & Rules when I saw it about a fortnight ago, but doesn't seem to be there now. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks - wouldn't be the first time!

I would just like to add my vote to those that are sorry to see that Donstonh is not being allowed to post on this forum any more.

This forum will be all the poorer because of this particular decision.

I echo the sentiments of many. Very generous with his time and very knowledgable. A valuable asset that will be sorely missed.

It was on page 2 of the savings and investments board when I checked a couple of hours ago.
