Goodbye to dunstonh

One of the most prolific, if not the most prolific poster on the MSE forums, dunstonh, has sadly departed the MSE forum.
I won't go into the whys and wherefores. Those that have followed some of dunstonh's posts will know. (Just to clarify - it is not due to any health concerns!)
I wanted to write an open note thanking dunstonh for all the effort put in over the past years. With almost 90,000 posts over 13 years across pretty much every aspect of personal finances, I can't think of a poster who has helped more people. The 55,000 thanks dunstonh has received shows how much appreciation there is.
dunstonh will have used up a huge amount of time providing help, all of which has been unpaid and unrecognised on these anonymous forums.
If there were more IFAs with same morality and ethics as dunstonh, the industry would have such a better reputation.
I want to thank dunstonh for all the help provided to myself, where clarifications, and the (very) occasional corrections to my posts have benefited myself and others.
I hope dunstonh is able to pop back here occasionally, and maybe even post on important subjects in a different guise.
Whatever happens, if you are reading this dunstonh, I wish you the very best for the future, and I hope you find something worthwhile to fill all the spare time you will undoubtedly have.
Thank you once again,
HappyHarry

Oh no, one of the famous five I had in my mind to help me with some Questions that I would be asking in around 4- 9 years time.
I always read his replies, , so knowledgeable, very very helpful to many.
Hope it is only a temporary departure.
good luck Dunstonh in whatever you decide to do.Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.0 -
Oh, I am very sad to read this.
I always appreciated his(?) comprehensive and knowledgeable replies to my questions.
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0 -
I'm a new contributor, but I enjoyed dunstonh's posts even though we had some differences of opinion. Loss of such expertise will be keenly felt.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0

Thank you HappyHarry for highlighting this. I don't usually come on the pensions board, so would not have seen this had I not seen this thread from the main Board.
