Thanks dunstonh
Has dunstonh's posts been removed?
No, the search for user's posts is case sensitive; maybe you put a capital letter in the search box?

The forum will be a poorer place without him.
Thanks dunstonh - your post's may have been short and to the point at times but they were always welcome and provided valuable information.
I'm only surmising but I have seen it before, and it's a shame that many forums go this way - knowledgeable person provides help and guidance (not advice obviously :j) and eventually gets beaten down by those who want to argue the toss and won't accept that sometimes, they do not know it all.
Hopefully after a break he will return.0 -
..gutted...a sad day..will be very much missed...my very best wishes to the Great Dunstonh..I wish he had been my FA.."It's everybody's fault but mine...."0

This is a sad loss - he always seemed to be the voice of reason in discussions - hope all is well with you and thank you so much for your learned advice on the forums0

Damn, It was reading his posts that gave me enough confidence to set up my own private pension pot. Always happy to answer my and anyone's questions. Hopefully, he can return one day.0

This is terrible news, he seemed to have the most in-depth knowledge of anyone on the board IMO, and certainly provided some useful feedback on a couple of my direct queries. He will be sorely missed.0

Gutted. Just gutted. He could be relied on for telling it straight, and for providing accurate, intelligent and non-judgemental information. A million thanks DunstanH - you will be greatly missed.0

I'm very sad to hear about this.
I have learned so much from this site and the forums over the past few years, I can say that it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I am probably not overstating things to say also that dunstonh is the poster that I have learned most from, particularly in relation to pensions and retirement planning. I would like to thank him for taking the time to post here and I will miss starting to read a thread and thinking "let's see what dunstonh has to say about this".
Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0
