Thank you for all the help you have given to very many people, including me, DunstonH. All the best.0

I add myself to the people stunned by this decision, and hoping it is still under review.
For those wondering about the forum search, such as
... the reason is more mundane than you might be worried about.
The forum search seems to be volatile, only storing the results for a while. My guess is 20 or 30 minutes.
At the time of this post (8.51pm 2/11/17),using the forum search > advanced search > posts by username=dunstonh I can see his posts.
Either people are capitalising some letters in his user name or they are going a different route. But I agree, the forum search can be flaky at times.

Well, MSE, isn't this a remarkably stupid decision on your part? A free and incredibly valuable resource has just been lost to this forum.
dunstonh, thank you for your time and effort spent on helping and educating us.Good, clean fun....MFW #11 2015 £7657 / £88800 -
Dunstonh gone???
He was usually the first to reply to my questions. Such fantastic knowledge that no one would ever doubt. I have saved a load of replies where he has helped others (I have kept for my own reference).
A sorry day for this forum.
Thanks DunstonH. I hope you are back here one day.0 -

I agree those who cannot find his posts are not using the forum search engine correctly.0 -
It's happened before (on other forums of this board). I don't particularly like these threads. Maybe the reason why he's gone is somewhere in these 6 pages but i'm not going searching. Am i the only one who finds it a bit annoying when people dance around the whys? Just spit it out is my view.
They had SareL or a name to that effect that was very helpful in the employment forum. She went but the forum continued.
There's still plenty of helpful people in this forum. Thrugelmir, atush, xylophone, bowlhead99 just some of the people who've been a great help to me.
Dunstonh will of course be missed. I've thanked him a good number of times myself. I do remember him leaving once before so hopefully he'll return again.0 -

As he has done many times on this board, dunstonh was warning the average retail consumer that “guarantees “ without regulatory protection are not worth the paper they are written on . From Los Pandos to Storefirst and many others along the way, these schemes have been invested in and money lost.
I am not making a comment on the particular mini bond in question, only that the default advice on the savings board and this pension board is not to invest in unregulated investments unless you are HNW and know the risks you are taking.
Martin Lewis has tweeted on the subject today that MSE will always be biased towards the consumer.Dunstonh was always biased towards the consumer when it came to unregulated investments ,but appears to have been evicted for his views.
This decision needs to be reversed ,otherwise it leaves other contributors in a vacuum as to what they may or may not say .
This board in particular would be very much poorer for his absence.0 -

I have to agree, the strong impression I got from his posts was his concern consumers did not make bad decisions based on their naivety or gullibility.0 -
Hi All,
Due to the level of activity and length of membership in the forum, the decision to ban / PPR (Posting Privileges Removed) Dunstonh has been escalated to MoneySavingExpert.com Editor-in-Chief Jason Mills to be reviewed. We realise his time and activity on the forum has helped many but we need to be sure forum rules are kept and met by all. We hope to have a decision about his posting privileges soon.
What's that famous quotation about rules being for the observance of fools and the guidance of wise men.
Dunstonh makes this forum a better place, as did Generali who also fell foul of the system last year.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
