Anyone up for the new Iphone X?

I got a Note 8 recently. Having had a note before the S pen is really handy when you are used to it.
The X whilst 'lower' spec on paper it is thinner and lighter.
By all accounts it smokes the competition on performance.
However not for me.

Your moto G4 is smaller than the iPhone + series which have been out since 2014.

The plus series of the iPhones come in at 158mm x 78.1mm with a 5.5inch screen. The iPhone X comes in at 143.6mm x 70.9mm with a 5.8inch screen. So you can easily say the screen fills the hand as your getting more screen in a smaller body.

(for ref the moto G4 is 153mm x 76.6mm 5.5inch screen)

What's the diagonal screen size of the X if you don't count the screen corner cutouts? If you're not sure what I mean, Google iPhone X landscape mode images.

I just went to the Apple site and looked at the dimensions of each phone and took those sizes. I never bought the plus phone as overall it was too big for my taste. So I will be upgrading from the 6s to the X

£1000 erm, don't think so Apple. Rumours are they are testing customer loyalty but I am a loyal customer and this is a step too far.

In our family we have 2 iMac desktops, macbook laptop, 2 iphones 6s plus, 3 ipad minis and we subscribe to Apple Music so yes we are loyal but would not pay that much for a phone!

In fact on my last upgrade the iphone7 just came out and they wanted £800 for that so I got the 6s model instead.

Not really that many new must have features so will wait for 2 years and get it cheaper.

I also don't see how they can charge £1000 for a small phone when you can a 12.9 ipad pro or macbook for less money, it's just not logical anymore.

Ok but the real screen screen size vs what Apple quotes may not get past the UK Trades Descriptions Act. Suggest you handle a powered up one in store first, look at photo gallery and Safari browser. If you like landscape mode on you old model, try that too on the X.

The screen on the X is way bigger than the 4.7inch screen of the 6s. I'm not worried about the so called "ears" on the X phone.

At the end of the day, it's each to their own... all this willy waving nonsense is a bit childish really and I've never understood it. I personally do prefer Samsung to Apple, but that's a personal thing. I've owned three Samsung's and every time I've switched away to a different make (with the exception of the N4), I've ended up desperately wanting to go back.

I would imagine this is the same for Apple users. You get used to this stuff and when you move away it becomes much harder to enjoy.

That said, I own an S7 Edge and the edge screen is massively getting on my tits these days.

Out with bragging rights,I'm pretty much at a loss as to massive benefits of the edge design.
Theres nothing much done with it that a flat screen couldn't really do IMO.
At least with the note they are less pronounced but for me I would rather have the extra flat screen real estate.
