OH's been hoarding empty sandwich spread jars for a friend of ours who was going to make jam but she's got enough she reckons so I'm left with small paste spread jars
I've been collecting up all the dead flowers off plants in the garden and am going to make pot pourri - I put some in a little jar and it looks really cute, specially if someone hasn't got a lot of room. Add a nice topper to it, with perhaps a label saying it came from your garden, hope they enjoy it as much as you do

I'm sure they'll appreciate it Savvy, as it's home made :)

it would work well in those little organza bags that Rusty found too.

I learnt something interesting recently, re pot pourri - orris root, the substance that fixes the scent, is one of the ingredients of gin...........well, I thought it was interesting :D:o

If you don't find it smells enough - you could try and use refresher oil - I like to top up my lavender pot pourri that way. I get it from Asda - several bottles for £1.75

We had a gent's 50th at the weekend & didn't have a clue what to get, so did a twist on the Survival Kit :p

Saved a dozen lilac 'smarties' from MrT's own & put in a bag to symbolise "those" little blue pills to aid a man's desires & marked "Micoxafloppin.Take one a month; excess may cause disappointment" :D
Cocktail stick to take his pick:o
Marbles to top up the ones lost
The Last Straw etc etc etc
& found a snazzie toilet bag in Superdrug for 10p to put it all in:j
