I hadn't got a clue what 'Borax' was, so searched on internet and this is what came up. Hopefully we can find it on the supermarket shelves.

Don't quote me on it but I think you can buy borax in a box in the 'natural cleaning' section in Tesco.

Me likee the Slime :j Just wondering if his mum would let him do this, if I gave the 'kit' to my almost 12 y/o nephew... ...could add a couple of those disposable gloves in the pack, until they establish whether the ingredients aggrevate his ezcema...

You can find Borax with the starch & stain zapping stuff in Wilkos or in a chemist if your supermarket doesn't have any. The ones I've seen are in a cardboard box & stood next to bicarbonate of soda if that helps  This is the site I was thinking of---look under 'cleaning'

I wish I could keep off this site for at least 2 mins, it is soooooooo addictive!!!

Whilst searching for jar gift ideas, I keep coming across sites for selling 'sun jars'. I now see that there are also sites for making your own.

Hmmm, I wonder if I can sweet-talk the OH into helping me make one for our DD.

candy - they are just brilliant !!!!!!! If only I had the nerve to rip apart our solar lights....................lol Knowing me I'd get in such a muddle and cut something where it shouldn't be cut and completely b**** the whole thing up. Bit what a clever idea...................:T

(Think I'll stick with the 'can of sunshine'...........old gravy tin or something, filled with sherbet lemons.................lol)
