I'm a little bit confused (it doesn't take much!) I'm looking to reclaim the charges that I have incurred from Argos, Natwest Mastercard, Barclaycard Visa, Sainsburys Visa and possibly Topshop (depending on how far back the charges were, they my be over 6 years). Luckily I've managed to find all the relevant account numbers however they are all registered in my Maiden name at my parent's address, can anyone suggest a way round this. Is there a paragraph I can add to the standard letter to cover this? Should I send a copy of my marriage certificate with each letter? Please help!!!0

Just send the letter off with your parents address and your maiden name, the statements will be sent to their address, but at least you receive them.
This is of course, as long as the accounts are still in your maiden name and registered to that address.....then just pick them up and start adding up

Does anyone have the correct address for Sainsbury's Data Protection unit, or where I can find the correct one, there's a freepost one in Chester on their website but the one I've got on my statement is in Dunfermline!0

Had three cards Barclays, Monument and Citi, downloaded letter wrote to all three only Barclaycard replied, both others have cashed the cheques for the fee, but as yet have sent no information and their 40 days what do i do next? Can someone please help
Had a reply from Barclaycard, as the account is closed they referred me to the collection agents dealing with the account, they like this site said i need to get the charges back from Barclaycard. Do i now take them to court? Still waiting for Monument & Citi to reply, anyone have any ideas to hurry them up?0 -

How did you manage to get payment from Barclaycard?? I am dealing with them on behalf of my son - and getting nowhere fast. i sent the second letter, and it has taken them weeks to respond - again in the negative.
I have requested copies of the original paperwork - and this is not forthcoming... Last letter from them indicated that we would have to take to FOS.
My son is in Armed Forces and had no need for PPI.
He had to telephone them from abroad so that they would deal with me - and at same time cancelled the ppi - but, lo and behold - last two statements are still showing...0 -

I didn't say Barclaycard I said Halifax and all I did was followed the advice and template letters from Money Saving Expert. They made me an offer which I refused and then they offered me what I wanted they paid off my card and then sent a cheque for the balance. BUT.........Last week they had the audacity to send me a statement asking for £2.59p closing balance. I told them they should have deducted that from the cheque and to poke their card where the sun doesn't shine (only not quite as polite as that. I hope you have success.:money:0

NOW HERE’S SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
I have had 2 successful claims thanks to this site – cheers Martin
Barclays over £900
Natwest over £800
Mid Last year
Both of the letters I had from the banks obviously do not accept liability and the money I reclaimed was a ‘gesture of goodwill’ as I was unhappy with the charges applied to my accounts.
So – My question is – If the law now finds the Banks guilty of this excessive charging, am I able to reclaim again – after all, I haven’t had a penny of the over payment for the unfair fees, just a gesture of good will for me being unhappy.
Thanks for the a gesture of good will - Now I want my fees back J
Naughty – but ah well, its worth a thought :P –
Yours Unscrupulously
