im wantint to claim the late payment fees on a credit card and a store card but I still have balance on them to pay off. If I claim are they likely to close my account and want me to pay it all back?

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong section. Recently wrote to Capital One requesting overcharges report, when I received it a couple of days ago it wasnt all my account information it was half somebody elses with all their account details, phone numbers, address and date of birth, enough for me to access their account over the phone. As you can imagine I was shocked especially when their slogan is 'No one cares more about protecting your idendity' What a joke this is. Wondered if anything like this has happened to anyone else and if theyve got any advice for me making my complaint to Capital One. Any help or ideas would be really appreciated.

Hi, can anyone help me? I followed Martins steps to reclaim bank charges by calling the credit card company and asking for my statements. Martin states they can not charge more than £10 to do so.

However when I rang MBNA they quoted me £4 per individual statement I require.
Is this lawfull? and if so is there a way around it???

(internet banking allows you to go back 1 year but I require several more years worth)!

iF YOU USE MARTINS FIRST TEMPLATE LETTER REQUESTING SAR THEN IT IS JUST £10 - DONT KNOW WHY BUT IT IS

SORRY FOR CAPITALS - KEYBOARD STUCK

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

    hi
i need of urgent help!! First time posting.
Had a debenhams card some time ago. wrote to GE Money sending standard 1st letter, requesting statements. They have given me a list of late payment charges, also asking me "specifying excactly what type of event or manual intervention that i require data about"??

what should i do, i believe i have more charges and that they state £18 then £15. I think it was a lot more than that?

should i request statements again, or add this up and ask for money???
    thanks

You are entitled to late payment charges and overlimit charges plus interest - if you went over your limit at any time then you need to know when and how much you were charged.
You could write again asking for all information on your account as set out in Martins first letter
    Hope this helps.

  • Please can anyone tell me if you can reclaim charges from credit cards and banks if you have gone bankrupt or have entered into a financial arrangement?

    Hi all

Just wondering what the general opinion is regarding trying to reclaim the interest on Credit card charges.

just had my first reply from Barclaycard and my charges amount to £372 and using the interest calculator interest at £67.89 therefore creating a total amount of £439.89

Should i go for the full amount ? Or shall i try for just the charges ? Got until tuesday to decide because of the bank holiday and post...
