The 8% interest is awarded by the court should you take your claim that far and is not an entitlement unless you take your claim to court so any interest that the bank offer can be looked on as a "bonus".
As far as I know Barclaycard offer 8% interest on the total of the charges rather than each charge as worked out using the calculator.0 -
hi all.
fairly new on here so be carefull with me..
I have requested charges from Halifax and Barclaycard and paid the £10 fee.
Got my halifax c/c statement this morning and they seem to have credited my account with the £10 ? Is this correct ?
Checked my Barclaycard account online and they havent done the same..
Anyone know whats going on?
Thanks

Hi
had a success with mbna and recd over £3k back onto my account, great. now as i am on a dp and a third party did the negotiations, how can i get them to repay me by cheque? can i use the FO? I noticed clanger is on an IVA and manged to get cheques! why? any help appreciated. I did speak to mbna and they might as well have said NO!
Thanks
I have to pay the 3rd party over £1k back and dont have the funds, please help if you can!0 -
You can ask but the FO are likely to take the view that as the cc company is "restoring" your account to the position it was in before the charges were taken then they will see the complaint as closed.0

Has anyone had much luck claiming charges back from credit card companies of £12?
I'm just sending a letter to mint asking for £12 charges from Jan 07 to April 08.................just wondering if anyone has actually been successful or not or if i'm totally wasting my time?0 -

Today I received offers from Capital One and Barclaycard for the difference between the original charge and their new £12 charges.
All of my charges were applied before the new charges came into effect, so I think that will be a "thanks (without prejudiceof course), but I'm coming after you for the full amount"
LBM November 2005: approx £32K :eek:Current debt: approx £12K :TGetting there one day at a time0 -

well have heard from mint today. they are not going to pay me my money at all apart from the amount they have agreed which is the difference between the £20 and £12 charges. So im going to either file a claim with the FOS or MCOL but im not sure which one is best? Any ideas?0
