yes you can claim from storecards. The procedure is the same as for credit cards so just follow martins article on credit card reclaims.

I have just received an offer of £316 out of £884 from Capital One. What do I do now? I am not happy with that amount and want to pursue the full amount - can I ring them or do I need to send them another letter?

    TIA

send the next letter giving them 14 days to pay the rest or you will initiate court action. thats what ive done with the 2 offers that ive had. i have told both providers over the phone and they have both told me to write the letters. So they are both getting the template letter from this site lol. Good luck with your claim!

Can I claim creditcard charges when I'm currently in a dept management plan to repay the amount outstanding?

I have 2 card accounts in this situation, with £1350 on one & £1450 on the other, repaying about £8 mth on each.

yes you can claim seaskye bearing in mind the money you reclaim will more than likely be taken off the debt rather than a cheque be given to you in your hand.

Hi every body before i start i want to say this site is great!

now down to the nitty gritty...................
about 2 years ago a man knocked on my door and asked me if i was getting charged for missing direct debits ect?.
i told him i was being charged and he said he can get the money back for 25% so i agreed for him to get me the money back. But i never heard from him again and now after 2 years i got a letter from my credit card provider(llyods/tsb) mentioning the guys company and offering me £500 but i dont know how much i have been charged?
Can someone please tell me wot to do??

hurrah, my list of charges came through and i replied (posted this morning yay!) with the 14-day letter asking for £1517.18 (£1092 charges plus £425.15 interest). It's from a closed Cap One account so figured I've nothing to lose by asking for it all back! So we'll see!

Just a rant really, I've reclaimed my charges from Halifax and Barclaycard with not too much of a problem, but I'm finding Cahoot (which has escalated to Abbey) a real pain. I'm asking for CC charges of £1,724.00. It's been over 8 weeks since I first contacted them and now they've written to say that they're still 'trying to fully understand the situation'. Given that they must get hundreds of the same letters downloaded from MSE every day I fail to see how they don't understand what it is I'm asking for! I have just filled out my forms to complain to the Financial Ombudsman and read all Martin's notes. It looks like this will drag on for another 8 weeks while they investigate it all. I feel like I'm swimming through treacle! Anyone else having similar problems?
