the problem i have is the fact that i am paid monthly and this is sometimes 2 or 3 days before the payment is due which doesnt give enough time to get the payment in - even though i pay using online banking
i then get hit with a £12 late payment charge
i have NEVER missed a payment with them and the most my payment has been late is 2 days
do i have a case for claiming these charges back ?
Thanks in advance for any reply
Rammy
sort out your payment date and then start a claim as yes you can claim for late payment fees.
edited to add, I see you have so carry on with a claim.0 -

A few years ago approx 2004 both my and my hubby paid off in full our credit cards (lloyds tsb) and realised now that ppi was added without us being aware as such, so obviously the ppi etc was paid off too, even though hubby works I have not worked for years due to caring full time to my son with special needs.
We just thought years ago it was just an extra payment on the credit card that was automatic.
However I have learnt of mis sold ppi over the last year and have recently won a big claim back for a loan of ppi with nemo.
This has now brought it to out attention about the ppi on the credit cards and now feel we should try to reclaim this back.
We have the account numbers for all the cards, so do we still have to send off for a SAR or other letter to request refund etc for this ?
Even though in 2004 we wrote for lloyds to cancel any further cards they still continued to send the cards but we did not bother with them, but at the end of 2007 while we were waiting for the claim of ppi to get paid out that was then being dealt with by the FOS at the time, we were waiting for the pay out at the time but were in a very desperate situation and we called into our bank and we requested if they could up our overdraft limit while we were waiting for the payout and even shown the lady the letter was official from the ombudsman, so the lady in the bank said she would contact the department who deals with the overdrafts and left the room came back 5 mins later to say they could not up the limit but would be accepted for a loan...... , and hubby to have a credit card.... , so being desperate at the time while waiting for the payout I had taken the loan and said not to add the ppi as I plan to pay the loan off as soon as the payment comes through from the above mentioned policy.
However a credit card was arranged in the bank for my hubby but no mention of ppi, and of course my husband has not got a clue about these things with cards......and i noticed on his statement recently that payment protection is added and 2 months on he received a letter to thank him for taking the ppi..... .
Sorry this is a long one but just want to get this right, but anyway I have all the account numbers for the credit cards and need to know if a letter with £10 cheque or postal order should be sent off to request more information or if I just wanted to request all the ppi repayments back.
My hubby also wants to cancel the ppi on his present credit card now too, so 2 of the cards we want to reclaim on is for 2004 and now also to cancel the ppi on this present one as hubby did not use the ppi claim when he was out of work a short while ago due to where he worked went into administration as he did not notice until afterwards about the added ppi as stated.
He is now back at work and I am to update the pinnacle insurance which will cover everything and for a lot cheaper in the long run too.
Any help and advice will be a great help, thank you so much indeed.

Hi all! I have a mint credit card and an asda store card. Both of these balances will be settled by the end of april and the accounts closed. I am wanting to claim back the charges from both of these but am unsure on a few points:
1) can i even claim back charges from my asda card as it is a store card?
2) do i need to do it before i close the accounts or can i close them first?
I also have an hsbc credit card but im hoping to have this settled by december and then claim back from this one also. If i can successfully claim back the charges from the first 2, the money claimed will go towards paying off my hsbc cc.
Many thanks

These are all very straightforward claims which are not affected by the OFT test case & will proceed as normal.
1) can i even claim back charges from my asda card as it is a store card? Yes, its pretty much the same as doing a credit card claim.
2) do i need to do it before i close the accounts or can i close them first? It doesn't matter.0 -
Quick question - Template letter 2, where your asking for the refund and give the card issuer 14 days to reply...............is this 14 days or 14 workings days? i sent a hand full of refund request letters out on the 18th March and NO ONE has replied? Not sure what to do? if its 14 days i should go ahead with step 3, if its 14 workings days, i should wait as easter bank holiday has fell in between......thoughts welcome please0
