Hopefully this is a straightforward question (sorry if i'm in the wrong thread) i'm wondering if it is possible to claim back late payment fees that are charged on a mortgage account? or is it just credit cards?
Thanks in advance

Hi I'm currently awaiting replies from Nationwide (i have used CC for about 10 years) & now Barclaycard (had CC for 5 years). I'm claiming back credit card PPI. I sent a request for a copy of credit agreement to Nationwide last week & have just posted the one to Barclaycard. Hopefully i'll hear back soon from both parties. I await their replies with interest.0

Hello to all you lovely people!
I have had my eye on this site for a while and what brilliant hints and tips I have seen so far :T
I made a claim against the RBS (Natwest) Group for 4 old loans which I had as a former member of staff.
We were always told that you were not allowed a loan without PPI, so I took one out, and then when I needed to use it was told staff couldn't!!!
I ended up in tons of debt.
So 3 out of 4 success letters, totalling 4K. Acceptance letters returned on the 21st of September, hoping I won't have to wait the full 28 working days (not blooming likely to be sooner ha ha )
Anyhoo - I've caught the PPI bug now and just wondered if anyone had any success claiming further back from other companies without any paperwork?
I had a Capital One, Sky Credit Card, MBNA and Halifax Loan back in the early 2000's and wondered if it was still worth a claim?
I know I had PPI on most of them!
Any advice would be marvellous

Got a response off Barclaycard saying I've had no fees on my account since 2006. Which is true. I've written back to them and asked why they haven't investigated the entire life of the account rather than the handy no fees era since 2006. No idea if this will work but I thought it would try. Can anyone suggest whether this is worth it?

Just a quick update. FOS have agreed to take on the HalifaxCredit Card Charges Reclaim . I finally received the list of charges I had requested from CApital One after sending them the £10. They amounted to just short of £1400, so the letter went off last week to them.
Next on the hitlist MBNA !0 -
Olly and Fudgerella, have either of you had any joy yet from Halifax ?0
