Hi
I have a long long list of credit cards I have had in the past all but two were paid off. I was in dispute with MBNA who then passed my debt onto a credit collection agency (ALLied Credit)..can I still claim back all my charges?
I would appreciate some help from those of you who are clued up on this. Also whereabouts are the template letters for claiming back charges both for credit cards and PPI. And can I still claim back charges if the debt has been passed to a collecting agency.
Thanks everyone for your help:beer:0 -
Sorry meant to say the two I still have are with collecting agencies (just to be a bit clearer). I am paying these off per month and it is crippling me so any money I get back would be a great help, also, if I do get money back (from the ones I am still paying back) will that go against the debt?
Thanks again:beer:0 -
I received a phone call today from a company claiming to assist with reclaiming credit card charges if you have had your credit card for over 5 years, they said they can recover all charges and have the card paid off due to the "credit card illegal practices". Can anyone tell me if they have heard of this, and is it true. Thankyou. (sorry if I am posting on the wrong site, new to this).0

Hi all,
I have just started chasing MBNA for a refund of my PPI, but i also have late payment charges on the same credit card (that i also want back)
Should i sort out one after the other or can i chase both simultaneously?
Many thanks0 -

If they are taking an upfront fee or are taking a percentage of what is due to you then avoid them like plague or your mother in law(whichever is worst).

i have had my credit card 16 years up to now,i requested my agreement which was ticked for no ppi, so i made a claim
the complaint was upheld, ppi premiums plus associated interest
£3,206.00 plus 8% interest £1.60 ?
this has been applied to my account already, it was not an offer
of course i am happy to recieve the money, but,i am sure i paid more ppi premiums over 16 years, i am not sure how they worked out the £1.60 8% interest either, i have not been asked to sign a disclaimer which i know others have, also i thought they would give me a breakdown of my ppi payments over the years, but they now say they will not enter into any further correspondence unless instucted by the fos.
it sounds to me they want me to take this further with the fos
am i right or wrong to think this
any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated0 -
I am a little confused about all this talk about many people getting cash back from credit card companies. Im not sure whether i am entitled to anything but obviously want to make sure im not just in case.
I have had a couple of credit cards and have be fined a couple of times for late payment. I have read the article on this and it talks about charges of £35 for late payment. Am i entitled if i was only charged £12 for late payment? Or are they allowed to do this? Can i get all the £12 back if so.
Also if i am entitled to anything back, how do i go about this? I havnt got all my paperwork for evidence of late payment charges. Do i need it as they have it all on record dont they?
Please can i have some advice to either make sure i am not entitled or how to if i am ??!!?
Thanks0
