Credit Card Reclaiming Discussion

  • A solicitor is chasing up a credit card PPI claim on my behalf, which has since been referred to the Ombudsman, and I am now awaiting a decision.

Solicitor has advertised a 'no win no fee', can I cancel the solicitors involvement and chase up my claim myself without being charged by the financial company who referred me to the solicitor initially.

Please advise, as the financial company said that they would charge me whatever their cut would have been if had chased up my claim and won.

I have recently contacted Santander re my Debenhams card , I was told that I could not claim the protection payments as the ruling only related to credit cards!!!! from banks not store cards, I argued with the gentleman who eventually gave me information regarding my account and who and where to contact. Are Santander now trying to wriggle out of paying?
  • Hi,

I'm new to this so apologise if I'm on the wrong thread. I have started the process of claiming back my credit card charges and was wondering if store card charges could also be claimed back and if so do I follow the same process as claiming back credit card charges?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello Folks.
I had a Sky credit card for some time, and I was in dispute with them about ppi when ,last year, the card was closed down. I believe that mastercard was the issuer.
My problem is that I no longer have the details of the account, but I would like to initiate a claim for the overpayments.
Is there any way that I can retrieve my details in order to proceed with a claim?
    Thanks in advance. F.W.
  • Thanks podperson :)
