ive recieved a letter to day saying my capital one debt has been brought by 'cabot financial' I would like to start a claim against them to reclaim all the charges i recieved from them, but who & how do i contact??

Your claim is with Capital One, as they imposed the charges. If Cabot hassle you about the debt, make it clear the amount is under dispute and they should return it to Capital One.

Contact details are in the Reclaim Help thread for Capital One, link in my signature.

    Hi

I paid off the balance of my credit card to a 3rd party debt collection agency which Citi sold it on to.Ive got about £700 of charges to get back.

Do I sue Citi or Cabot? I dont want it getting to court and their lawyers wriggling out on this technicality.

    Many thanks in advance :T

Your claim is with Citi but do be aware that any monies reclaimed is likely to be put towards any debt held by the bank or DCA.
  • I have gone through the FOS for my credit card charges which total £600.00(this includes interest) Citicards have offered £329.00 and state that this is a refund of all charges and interest. What should I do? Should I accept this or refuse?, I am bothered that if I refuse I may only get the difference between £12.00 and each charge which would be even less. Am I entitled to the whole amount and is it worth fighting further?

    Thanks for any advise

  • Just a quick question,

Can I use the FOS to claim back credit card charges? I notice on the main site it only refers to bank charges.

Edit - Just seen the person above has used the FOS for credit card charges!

    Hi All

I have just received my statements from egg going back 6 years so I need to go through and pick out all my charges, there must be £100s

My question is can I do anything to get money back for what they call credit card payment protection?? In some cases it creeps up to over £40

    Any ideas?

    Andy

Hi, I moved to France 4 years ago and closed most of my credit card accounts, can anyone tell me if I can still claim back charges on these accounts even though I have moved to a different country.

This applies for Credit Card PPI too, just amend the letters. Watch the video if you can though, it explains things very well.
