I sent off for both my statements for Kwikfit & Debenhams accounts (both GE Captial) with payments. They did not send me them within 40 days so I sent them another letter to say that they had not replied within the time limit & referred to the letters. They replied swifty afterwards gving me a statement of all charges on both accounts ( and have not cashed either of the cheques!) I believe they are using this as a delay tactic! Once you get the information, their response appears to speed up.:rolleyes:0 -
Is there a basis for claiming unreasonable interest charges as well as the penalty charge?
I missed a £5 payment to Virgin during the 0% bt period (statement never arrived) and was stung for £49.70 in interest as well as the £12 fee. I also had to pay off the balance asap to avoid more interest charges (costing me a few quid to my bank).
I accept it was my fault (I assume Virgin sent out the statement) so am prepared to pay something, but not over £60 (especially as I had already paid £60 up front as their fee).
Any advice welcome.

Hi All,
I have just filed MCOL against Capital one.
How long does it take now for them to respond with the verdict?
If anyone has any timescales that would be great.:rotfl:0 -
Can I apply to get my over limit fees and late payment charges from a staff discount credit card?
What I mean by a SDCC is that it is a store card that you have to use in order to get your discount, otherwise you don't get it.
I haven't paid it this month because I'm skint after Christmas and they are threatening with bailifs.0 -
Hope someone can help can I still apply for my credit card charges refund even though am now paying back credit card debt via debt collector.
Couldn't keep up with the payments of my credit cards due to unforseen circumstances and was passed on to debt collectors but debt is manly made up of interset and there charges

Hi,
I'm after a bit of help.Halifax has paid me out £256.00 but have made the payment back to the collection company.I have only just found this out.
I did request the payment be made by cheque or direct in to my bank account.
Any advice please.

Hello,
I claimed mine back whilst in the same position as you.
From what I can tell so far, you will not get the money but the debit people will.As you can imagine I'm really cheesed off about this.If I had known this before I wouldn't have bothered as it is of no use to me as the amount claimed didn't even make a dent in the debt.
I am however going to fight this with Halifax.0 -
