Firstly, Hello to everyone and loving this site :)

    My question is,

I have a Company Credit Card, which I also use for personal us, but settle the card in full every month albeit a week late, and get charged £25 every month.

The letters and the statements come directly to myslef not my work, the card bears my works name but also mine, I was told when I signed the form for the card that all charges and fees due to late payment were my responsiblity, not my works, which I have no problem with.

Do you think I shall be able to re-claim these charges.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Barclaycard have offered me a part payment but I still want to pursue them for the outstanding amount. Does anyone know if there is a letter template for accepting the part payment (so they cant take it back) but informing them that you will be pursuing the outstanding amount?
    Thanks

You'll find help in this thread....

I think you'll find the card company may expect your company to co-sign any letters to them, will this be a problem? You could always start the procedure and see what happens.

my question is; should i now just contact the FOS directly with all the paperwork and correspondance and ask them to look into my claim, or do i have to wait for halifax to get back to me?

i would rather pass it over to the FOS and ask them to take it on but don't want to miss a step that could jeopardise my claim.

    any thoughts greatly appreciated

Generally the FO will only take a case on after about 8 weeks or if you receive a definite no from the bank.
  • OOOoooo Eddy lass glad your on need some advice.

I've had the letter from court saying Cap 1 have settled and i need to send the letter back signed. I haven't received the chq yet so do i wait ??? It should be here next week so do i wait until its cleared in bank or just till i got it in my hand ???

  • Hi all

I have only had a credit card for 4 months and have already racked up two charges (2 x £12). Now I know £24 is only a trivial sum compared to the hundreds and thousands others are claiming (and best of luck to you all!!) but it's £24 I wouldn't mind having back.

I have two questions that I'd really appreciate some advice/answers to:
    1. Can I claim back these £12 charges now they have been declared reasonable?
    2. Has anyone else claimed for a small sum such as mine and if so, how much did you get back? I don't think I'll bother claiming if i only get say 40% or less.
    Thanks in advance!!
  • can anyone tell me If i can claim back charges on credit cards whilst i am in a debt management plan with cccs? If so it would reduce my debt loads considering i had charges most months towards the end, when we were really struggling.
    many thanks
Proud to be dealing with my debts through cccs

  • Yes you can and the amount you claim back will get taken off the balance that you owe.
    Good luck!
