  • if i no longer have any details of my credit card account is there a way i can obtain the in order to claim?
  • Yes, just ring up the bank and tell them you used to have an account. They will find it by name, d.o.b etc...... i didn't have mine and thats all i did.
  • ok cheers will do that
  • I am currently 4 years into a dmp with payplan, still got 41.000 to go. Lots of the creditors are card companies, is it too big a risk to try and reclaim the charges ? Can they rip up my dmp ? My bank charges claim is obviously on hold, but they had been paid off in full. Any advice greatly welcome.

Some months ago I went through my old statements and reclaimed bank and credit card charges, some paid and some didn't, then I heard that it was all on hold so I left it. However I now hear that we can reclaim credit card charges which coincidentally are the ones that wouldn't pay the first time round, i.e. citibank and halifax credit cards. I got as far as the cases being referred to my local court, how do I get these started again, do I need to go back to the beginning and start the process all over again or can I phone the local court they were moved to to get them going, anyone else out there in this situation?

Help, I have about £200 or more in admin charges (£20 each time for late payment) from Studio Catalogue, can I reclain these charges as I have done with my bank charges/
  • It would be really helpful if people could mention on what basis they reclaimed the money. My husband tried to claim from MBNA on the basis that he is self-employed. They said that the self-employed are still covered although in the fine print it says that they are only covered if they wind up their business.

who do we actually address the cheques to? the ones we send in our first letter? and can we send cash? I don't really want to have to go into my bank and ask for a cheque in the name of another bank.

It would be really helpful if people could mention whether the accounts remained opened, closed etc
