  • Hi i have reclaimed charges against my bank, credit card, and store cards and been successfull in the past, but soon after there was the OFT? involved in this, so i understand all pending claims were halted?
please correct me if i'm wrong....
however i would like to claim against one more store card and one more credit card, should i send out my letters now or wait until we all hear about this 'ruling', whenever that may be?
Any help will be much appreciated, thank-you
  • The test case doesn't affect credit cards and you can go ahead and claim, please read Martin's article regarding claiming on a cc.

  • hello people!!
just wondering if anybody may be able to help me
i had a credit card with natwest some years ago, and the charges spiraled out of control, up to a point i wa not able to make any repayments, i origianaly owed about £900.00 which was easy for me to make the payments on a tight budget, i am a single parent, and everything was okay, until i missed a pyment, and eventually owed them £1700.00, this finally went to a debt collection agency, and im still paying £10.00 a week now, all these years later, will the credit card company not refund me from the £900.00 onwards, the problem is, i dont have any statements, or anything, just the name of the bank, and of course my adress at the time ect.... should i try and amke a claim. will this be possible?

You can start a claim for the past six years but be aware that any monies reclaimed will go towards any debt held by the bank.

Hello folks, Im looking for a bit of advice about my barclaycard claim. Im claiming around £500 but have had no luck, so ive used the moneyclaim service, today ive found out that barclaycard have not only aknowledged but also entered a defence. This is really concerning for me as im not very good at public speaking and cant really afford time off to go to a court hearing! I didnt expect to have to go all the way for a small amount like this (my fault i know!) Does anybody have any advice?

    Thanks

If your case goes to court you must attend or they will throw your case out, it is you who is taking the bank to court. However, read the thread for Barclaycard and follow the advise given there by other users.

You'll find the list of the main threads in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.
  • I have an A&L credit card which i applied for online.
I ticked the PPI box thinking it would be useful to have, not really undsterdanding that i would have a choice. I have tried to claim but they obviously informed me it was my doing. I have since cancelled the PPI which was a real effort. But, is there anyway i can claim what i have paid already?

    Hi folks,

After a long drawn out fight to reclaim £500 from Barclaycard i've finally got an offer for full repayment. The trouble is that they have transfered the amount into my credit card account, which has left the card around £200 in credit!! However, my card was cancelled when i asked to set up a temporary repayment plan when I was out of work.

Does anybody know how i might be able to get my cash back? I cant spend it on the card as i no longer have it!

    Thanks in advance
  • If you still owe money on a credit card do they credit your account or send you a cheque to pay into your bank account?
