  • Can anyone help please - I am confused about this. I get the late payment fee reclaim but what about things like payment protection charges? Is there a definitive list of what I can claim back? - many thanks

Payment protection is PPI. If you ask on the PPI forum they will help you reclaim that.
Late payment fees, overlimits fees are the ones you can claim.

Hi, I dont now if anybody can give me some advice, I have a closed Barclaycard account, I sent the data access request and added up my charges which totalled £684.00 and added the statutory intrest by using the very useful charges calculator on mse reclaim page, the intrest totalled £204.61, so I sent the claim for the full total and recieved a letter today saying they dont accept liablity but as a 'goodwill gesture' they will refnd the entire amount. Here's the rub, The account was sent to 1st credit in 2007 and which I settled in 2007, but Barclaycard have sent the money to 1st credit saying that they have done so because 1st credit own the debt, dispite me paying off the debt to them. So a partial success story, but I wondered if this has happened to anyone else and how you claim the money back from them? As this is what Barclaycard have said I should do?
    Many thanks for any advice

  • Does anyone know if the credit card companies will accept a postal order for the £10 fee to get the list of charges or bank statements, as I don't have a cheque book?

  • Hi

This is my first post so please excuse and mistakes, I am currently in the process of claiming back charges from several companies and was just wondering what do I do if they send a cheque for part payment after the first letter, Do I cash it or send it back to them?

To cut a long story short, claimign back money from capital one c/c, not offering enough so passed it to the ombudsman.

They wrote back sending all the documents i have sent them asking for the letter of final response from them but i do not appear to have received it, yet in subsequent letters from capital one they word it as " as we have made our final offer".

I have ticked the box on the form for the ombudsman to say they have given their final response, shall i untick it and send it back as i havent got the final response letter from them or shall i send it back highlighting the letters from them where they say "we have made our final offer"?

    Thanks
